I have found 2 more pushchairs I like the look of so OH and I need to go play..I have added a couple of baby bits to my mothercare wishlist. Cleared out Squeaks drawers so the bigger size stuff can go in and switched her stuff to her pink drawers so the baby stuff can go in the black ones.
I have also done a spot of flinging in my room..
I can now not walk.. oops.. so am resorting to ebaying carp!.. I need £250 reclaiming to cover what I just paid out for the car seat!!

Ooh thanks, looks lovely will have to show OH later see what he thinks!
I wonder if someone can help me. My OH isnt entitled to Paternity Pay, but would he still be entitled to take Paternity leave without getting the pay?Biggest Loser Weight Loss: 13 / 20 lb0 -
Missy... thankyou... I've just sorted the baby bedding..
it almost matches Squeaks
The matching quilts are £18 from £72 or something hideous.. and the change mat down to £12
Flower .. yes he is still entitled to the leave! I'm not sure but I thought you could 'give' him a couple of weeks of your maternity leave.. I might well be mistaken on that though.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

. At least according to one of the consultants in charge of my care anyway (she is internationally respected and publishes regularly!) and I totally believe her. If you are worried about it check with your mum how she was during pregnancy as although it is not an absolute it will give you an indication of the likelihood of it happening to you.
. Both my mother and my maternal grandmother suffered from ms for the entire duration of pregnancy so my chances were always quite high but if yours didn't then it will be far less likely but unfortunately not impossible for it to happen to you.
I think there is definitely something in this - my mam was dreadfully sick when she was pregnant with me. She was sick every day until 7 months and was signed off work at 5 and a half months. I was talking to her on the phone earlier (having a little cry and feeling sorry for myself) and she said my pregnancy so far has been exactly like hers was.....
She also told me to stop stressing about work and concentrate on flump and being a mummy and I think she's right. Work are being pants but I only need to stick it out there a few more weeks and then I don't have to go back there full time (or maybe not all!) after my maternity leave is over
I was feeling very down earlier today but I think I have a lot in life to be grateful for. Yes, this sickness is horrible and work are being awkward but at the end of it all I get a beautiful baby and what could be better than that?

Afternoon ladies and bumps
hope everyone is doing ok and that those in pain are managing to stay positive!
PP sounds like you are on the organised track, well donehave you felt much more movement?
Apricot - good idea to bank the babysitting, am sure your sis will be happy to have a new niece to play with
Bluemonkey and koala, hope the sickness is a little better this evening for you!!
Congratulations on finding the house cheaper (sorry, user name escapes me!!!)
Fluffy labour vibes or "baby move your head" vibes for you
Very excited that today is 24 weeks - Viability has almost made me relax lol
Am still really tired and have not been sleeping well for the last few nights but think that is becuase i am still struggling with the trapped nerve in my back so its kinda waking me up.
OH and i went to Ikea today and bought some bits to allow us to free up some of the furnitrue we are going to put in the nursery which has made us both quite excited
Am feeling lots and lots of movement now, OH is getting a little frustrated that every time he touches the bump Elvis goes quiet, then all of a sudden starts up again as soon as he moves his hand :rotfl:
Has anyone got a maternity weekly budget in mind? I know i asked a few days ago but no one was able to help, sorry if its annoying

Havent really got a budget in mind exactly, but have been overpaying on some bills such as gas/electric and council tax to try and ease some of the immediate pressure when baby is born.
Would be interested to hear other peoples plans though as I am ever so slightly starting to panic!

I haven't really got a budget in mind but have been trying to overpay certain bills too - easier said than done when baby stuff is soooo cute though!
I have stockpiled loads of nappies & wipes - Boots will exchange without a receipt apparantely so Im not worried about baby growing out of them before they get used. What I have has hardly cost me anything as they've been bought when on special offer or when I've had vouchers from the various baby clubs I joined.
Im told by my sister two boxes of formula per week when they are little so thats about £18!! All the more reason to try and breastfeed!
Am considering packing my hospital bag today  is 30 weeks too early?:happylove DD July 2011:happyloveAug 13 [STRIKE]£4235.19[/STRIKE] £2550.00 :cool:0 -

I have quite a lot of stuff that I havent paid much for as well. We have bought a few bits of clothes but have agreed not to buy anymore as some people have already bought us loads, and one of OHs family have a one year old boy and text us to say they have lots of clothes for us too
