is anyone else exhausted all the time? i have been since the beginning, i thought it would wear off but it hasn't, i can barely do anything and have to have a nap most days. i'm on iron tablets but they're not making any difference :(

    Morning everyone,

Congratulations to Rachel :) you've chosen a beautiful name for baby :)

I'm 20 weeks exactly today so exactly half way through my pregnancy - can't believe how fast it is going! Lol

I'm another one who is still being very sick, struggling a lot with it at the moment and am having difficulty keeping food down but I'm not as bad with liquids. The doctor has prescribed me 3 different anti sickness drugs but none of them are helping :( I'm currently 8lbs lighter now than I was when I found out I was pregnant :( I'm going for a fasting blood test next Friday to check for thyroid and diabetes as both conditions are in my immediate family and the they want to rule out any problems there. The doctor has said if i start not keeping liquids down and peeing properly (sorry if TMI!) then he will have me admitted to hospital for a few days but I am trying to avoid that!!!

Sorry for the rambling self indulgent post, just feeling a bit fed up today. Work are not being good about my sickness and as I don't get company sick pay we are starting to struggle financially which is adding to my stress levels :(

In better news, the doctor let me listen to flump's heartbeat yesterday which was amazing :) and we have our 20 week scan next week :) soooooo excited about that :) we want to find out the sex but our hospital has a policy of charging to tell you :( it would actually be cheaper for us to get a private gender scan than pay the hospital fee!!!

Hoping everyone is having a good Saturday and that those of you in pain are able to get some good pain relief!

Missy that is great news on the house and I hope that you are all very happy there. :D

Angel congratulations on viability :D. I have no idea about what baby hiccups feel like as have never experienced it yet but Pigpen has mentioned it a few times so she is probably the lady to ask. :). I also still have constant tiredness and morning sickness that lasts all day and through the night too and I am almost 35 weeks now so think it is here for the duration. :o. I had exactly the same with my two previous pregnancies so didn't come as too much of a shock this time.

Mancbird sorry you are having such a rough time :(. I can relate as I have been admitted to hospital a few times this pregnancy due to dehydration and weight loss......believe it or not it was actually ended up being a bit of a relief being drip fed as for once it meant that I did not have to worry so much about managing medications as I am also diabetic. :o. Both of my boys were delivered by emergency c section but I had to wait on the intra muscular anti sickness drugs taking effect first for safety and I was never sick again until next pregnancy if that helps any. :)

Becky it won't be long now. :D

    Thanks koalamummy,

I just keep thinking to myself it will all be worth it but it is hard when work are being so awkward and making me feel pathetic if I need to take time off. I don't think they've really had anyone pregnant working for them before so they are just thinking I'm being a bit soft :( Part of the reason I really don't want to have to go into hospital is because work wouldn't be impressed and I would lose yet more wages (only get ssp) and because I've been so ill in the last few weeks I really can't afford to take time off. I really don't think their attitude is helping. I was originally told I could work from home as I live 25 miles away and the travelling makes me sicker, but then they changed their minds as they "didn't want to set a precedent"... :(

Any other time I would be chuffed to lose a few pounds bit I'm worrying a bit because I keep reading that I should have put on about 10 by now, not the other way round!!!

I thought I was getting a bit better as I hadn't been sick for a couple of days but the last 3 days have been horrendous. It's coincided with me being able to feel the baby move so I'm wondering if that's why I've started being so bad again? My mam was the same when she was expecting me and had to finish work completely at 6 months as she was so ill :(

Just have to keep going as much as I can :) I have felt bad but not actually been sick today (although I'm still in my pjs - how bad is that?!?) so am going to take advantage of that and my oh is cooking a nice tea.

Hope all you ladies are having a good day,

My physiotherapist has banned me from moving. She literally said I can't walk to the post box at the end of my road. I'm NOT ignoring her I just can't stay still or I get restless leg, I have to move around! I'm nearly 31 weeks so god knows how I'll manage the next 9 :(

Mancbird I hope things improve for you at work....are you in a union at all that you can approach for some support with the difficulty you are currently having at work? :o

Clarieloo do you have any heat packs at all? I wear leggings to hold them over the 3 pelvic joints and it does help a little...looks a bit odd though! :rotfl:

Mancbird keep your chin up, my work arent very sympathetic either :( as for weight loss i am 9lbs lighter now than my pre pregnancy weight, the docs assured me when I was admitted to hospital with hypermesis my last pregnancy that the baby will be fine, it takes all your nurtients which is why you feel so awful, i am currently feeling miserable too, keep having bouts of sickness, my back is agony and i'm sure my swollen bits down below are vericous (sp?) veins sorry TMI, gonna have a good moan to midwife when I go on monday ;) only got to get thorugh work tomorrow then off for another week xx

all in pain big hugs to you xxx

    Labour vibes to becky xx
