Turning vibes for you SDHthat said I had a c section when my son was breech 8 years ago - it's not that bad although best not have one at home
I am 33 + 5 now and feeling sore and heavy
Last week at work is next week if I make it :T - though I have really struggled with this week - think baby's head is low in my pelvis and it is very sore - the muscles aren't as good as they were and everything is hurting.
I see the consultant next week where I hope to get a date for my section so looking forward to that now.
We are moving house next week too so I can't wait - on the down side the sale of my flat fell through this week so I am back to square 1 there, nevermind!
Hope all ladies and bumps are well and congrats to any new mums I've missed x0 -
pigpen I know you've done this countless times before (understatement?) but is it not a bit early to worry about movement (or lack of)? My midwife told me not to worry about regular movements until 25 weeks and that there would be days when I wouldn't feel baby until then.
For a first baby yes as movements are felt later.. I felt this more at 13/14 weeks than I do now.. other than DD2 they have all moved way more than this.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Pigpen, you may have an anterior placenta again which would explain a lot of it.
I'm still not feeling whole lot. There was one day this week where I felt loads of movement, that maybe due to the full fat coke I drank though! Not really felt much apart from that. But then, like you say, I'm a first timer.
When I do have flutters, I only ever feel it on my left hand side. I've never felt anything on my right side which I find a bit odd.0 -
I don't have flutters it is like being prodded or flicked gently and the wiggles are shifting and very obvious. the placenta is right at the top apparently so not really back or front so I don't think it is that.
I actually do think it is just lazy.. DD2 was just lazy.. not much has changed 14 years later! S'pose it'll move when it does... and I still don't want the scan...LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Congratulations Rachael good to hear that both yourself and baby are doing well.
Pigpen since you had a c section recently is that maybe what is stopping you feeling baby move as the muscle and nerves will still be healing? My last one was done over 2 years ago and I still have next to no feeling in my abdominal area which given my line of work has proven to be an absolute bonus :rotfl:
MrsS hope your headache starts easing soon for you. Sounds like your apt went well today.. Not sure what your feelings on having a section are so not sure whether to will your little guy to remain breech or not but if you let us know I am sure the other ladies will join in too.
. I don't know whether this would be relevant to your personal circumstances but it is probably best to make sure that you have lined up people to take your children to and from clubs and such like as you are currently not allowed to drive for 6 weeks post c section
Apricot I think I would be happy with waddling as currently I look akin to a geisha girl with rickets as I can only take tiny steps and my legs are bending out to the sides and refuse to straighten properly! :rotfl:
SDH I am willing your little one to turn for you.
GB sorry about your sale but it is good to hear that you have somewhere to move to and will have just enough time to settle in before your little one arrives.0 -

Thanks - had a sleep, and still have headache. Feel pretty crap actually, but that's probably because I'm now maxing out the codeine
I am ok with the thought of a section to be honest. I begged for one last time because I was terrified of giving birth with SPD. They said no, so I never got one. I can't have the ECV, so I'm resigned to the fact that if he stays put then I have to have a section whether I want one or not. I don't feel I would be missing anything by not getting to have another natural delivery. I told the consultant I wasn't in the slightest bit bothered by the idea of having a section.
I know it will make recovery a little longer and different to normal birth, but I'm at the point where to be honest I'm past caring. I just want my baby out (when safe to do so) asap. I haven't been able to drive now for 16 weeks, so another 6 weeks really won't make much difference to me either
So right now, as I sit here feeling really crap, the thought of him staying breech and being out of there in 3 weeks ish sounds pretty darn good!
However, if he turns he turns, and I'll ask for induction for natural delivery and be happy enough to go through labour too
BTW, I have an itchy right palm and it's annoying me!!!!! Just woken up like it!Olympic Countdown Challenge #145 ~ DFW Nerd #389 ~ Debt Free Date: [STRIKE]December 2015[/STRIKE] September 2015
