Had a midwife appointment today. Have a bit of protein in my urine, not sure what that means. Uterus is measuring on target @ 32weeks. She had some trouble finding the heartbeat which made me panic a little but she got there in the end.
He has been quiet all day and now starts up kicking before I go to bed the little tinker!
I got a pressie from a friend at work. A box of stuff like nappies, wipes, talc etc. some little books "my first little library" which are just adorableand some baby magazines for me and some other bits. It was really nice! Very pleased with it.
Hope everyone is well!
Aw- what a lovely thoughtful gift!
My baby is most active around bedtime too- lets hope they learn to sleep at night after they're born:rotfl:.
I think protein in the urine can be linked to high blood pressure or an infection, but our kidneys get so squashed during pregnancy I think its quite common to find a bit of sugar or protein in the urine. They'll test your urine again a week later if they're worried or sooner if you also have high blood pressure. Fluffy hope your wrist improves and well done for sticking to what you wanted!

Hmm, I think it woulld be my dinner tray! I struggle to balance food when eating on sofa so got one of those trays with a soft underneath which is great. A memory foam pillow from Primark for £10 is also great for laying up in bed to read.
- Waste of money/ something you wouldn't bother with nex time
Luckily haven't noticed anything yet! - A top tip you'd give yourself if you could go back a few months
Relax more in 1st trimester and get OH to help out from the word go.
Supermaiden don't know about protein in the blood but as Fluffy says they'll monitor you and make sure everything is ok.
Bella not sure what to suggest about that, call to the midwife may be best?
Mrsspendalot hope your SPD and Braxton Hicks calm down a bit and that the bath helped a little.
For once I slept more fitfully last night and even snoozed a bit this is morning. Maybe that was the anaemia being helped by having a beef steak and also a Berocca for vitamin c last night? Seems too much of a coincidence.
So awful about the earthquake in Spain, been watching on TV, worst in 50 years and all those poor people without homes or having lost family.:):)

Fluffy I know what you mean about the bras I bought them during first pregnancy and found them a bit of a waste...asda value or basics or whatever they are called were actually far better in my opinion as they were very soft non underwired comfy and supportive. They don't look too bad and at the price they are it is not exactly heartbreaking when you have to change sizes.
Another brilliant but considerably more expensive item I bought was actually a baby bath called a wash pod. I found bathing my boys quite terrifying as they were so tiny but this uses their body weight to support them in it and holds their heads above the water. It was especially great when managing post c section with a poorly healing and infected wound.0 -
This baby seems to love steak as well Sparkle complete with onion rings and mushrooms and new potatoes but never chips....she doesn't like them at all!0

Been called up to the hospital in a couple of hours, not sure what for?0

Hope all goes well Lirin.
. Is it maybe your first multiple birth apt?

Morning everyone.
Lirin, I would assume it's just an extra appointment due to the fact you are carrying twins.
I have my 16wk (although I'm 18wks tomorrow) appt today. I guess that means I get to listen to the heartbeat. What else happens? Is it the usual bp and urine checks etc.
I haven't seen the midwife since I was 5 wks gone so that's a very long time!0 -
Sorry SV I am really not sure what happens at the 16 week apt as my pregnancy care varies a bit from normal and I have never actually had one despite this being my 3rd child.0
