So much pain today .... baby kicking in the wrong place, SPD is evil, and now I'm having braxton hicks for good measure :(

Just running a nice bath to see if it helps.

I just collected a Widgey nursing pillow (brand new) from a work colleague whose OH has a local baby shop. He let me have it for £20 :T Well impressed with it.

That sounds like you got a really good deal MrsS. :D. My baby has started to constantly kick and punch inwards instead of out the way on to my stomach.....not sure if this is normal as I have never been this pregnant before? She has also not moved from being head downwards in a few weeks which is getting seriously uncomfortable! :o

    Evening all :p

I have had the laziest day ever!!!:j

Very uncomfortable in the evenings now due to braxton hicks and bruised pelvis where I fell two weeks ago, couldn't even get comfy in the bath.

Had appt with fracture clinic yesterday- 3 different docs including the consultant to decide how to treat my broken wrist. They put a splint- like a strap on support thing in a&e while swelling goes down but they're supposed to put a proper plaster on it a week later. I can't see the point though- if the splint was good enough for the first 10 days it'll do for the next couple of weeks. Advantage is I can take it off to shower etc. I'm planning to use the birth pool so it would have been a major pain to have to keep it dry. Anyway I got my way and its still just strapped up.
    Doc's arguments and my responses:
Doc: "If you're in labour you might grab something really hard and do further damage"
Me: " I promise to only throttle OH with the other hand"
Doc: "Well when are you due...12 days... we could take off the plaster the day before?"
Me: " I could be early- babies don't usually stick to due dates"
Doc: "The plaster will make it hurt less"
Me: " I've coped this long and not taken any of the painkillers I was given"
Meanwhile a host of student doctors and nurses are giggling at the back of the room. Consultant eventually agreed that a plaster wasn't the best option for my circumstances although I have been warned if I bang it I can make the break worse. Also I'm to try and not use that hand to minimise movement so it heals. OH: "You haven't really broken it have you- you just want me to do all the housework":rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:.

Wishing fantafan and rachaelc labour vibes :D:D:D Surely teenie must have had baby by now- 23rd april????

Just wanted to post before I go to bed.
Had a midwife appointment today. Have a bit of protein in my urine, not sure what that means. Uterus is measuring on target @ 32weeks. She had some trouble finding the heartbeat which made me panic a little but she got there in the end.

He has been quiet all day and now starts up kicking before I go to bed the little tinker!

I got a pressie from a friend at work. A box of stuff like nappies, wipes, talc etc. some little books "my first little library" which are just adorable :D and some baby magazines for me and some other bits. It was really nice! Very pleased with it.

    Hope everyone is well!

    Just an idea:
Those of us who've been pregnant a while or who've been pregnant before for the sake of those with months left.

    Tell everyone:

    • Your best pregancy purchase:
    • Waste of money/ something you wouldn't bother with next time:
    • A top tip you'd give yourself if you could go back a few months:

    Here's mine:
Best purchase: Body pillow- couldn't manage without it
    http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/1276039/Trail/searchtext%3EBODY+PILLOW.htm
Frustrating waste of money: I bought 3 maternity bras and 2 sleep maternity bras from mothercare and they didn't fit me 3 weeks later. In future I'd just buy 2 cheap soft bras from matalan/ primark.
Top tip: (advice given to me but I didn't believe it) Get everything sorted earlier on as you will be tired in the last couple of months and will not love walking round the shops when on mat leave.
