Are you pg with your first?
[/STRIKE] Scrap that, just seen your next post lol
LOL no number 3 due! They always seem to change the due date once you have your scan even though you know your own dates. What are you hoping for, girl or boy?Thank you to everyone for sharing competitions!0 -
Hi Realbutter  Welcome
Thans for the replies re measuring small. I feel a bit better this afternoon. I know if there had been anything really worth worrying about the MW would have said so.
Ummm on another note, someone just described me as "waddling" I am investing in some super high heels like Vicky Beckham - she doesn't waddle!!!:rotfl:
I couldn't walk in those heels whether I was pregnant or not!! My neighbour who I walk to school with is due 2 weeks after me. We are going to look like a couple of waddling ducks walking around to school every day :rotfl::rotfl:!Thank you to everyone for sharing competitions!0 -

I really don't mind, in one way another boy would be nice as I feel the sibling friendship would be stronger (although I know you can never know how they will get on in reality) in another way it would be nice to have a girl, not so much for when they are children, but as adults girls have a relationship with their mums more like a friendship. We will be staying Team Yellow too, didn't find out last time and it was nice so will do the same this time.
How about you?0 -
Hiya,
I'm a lurker on this thread and thought it was about time that I said hello properly!
I'm currently 18+4 with my first baby and am so excited. My due date is October 8thI've struggled a lot with sickness and dizziness and my doctor has diagnosed me with hyperemeisis which has been treated with tablets (a few different ones as they didn't stop me being sick). I was very worried about losing weight due to the sickness and having no appetite but my doctor has reassured me by telling me the baby will be taking all the nutrients it needs even if I'm feeling dreadful...he said they are selfish little !!!!!!s! Lol
I'm currently 8lb lighter than when I found out I was pregnant but am definitely getting a bump now and looking 'pregnant'
I was wondering when I should be able to feel the baby moving and what it would feel like? I have had what feels like a few sharp jabs quite low down on my right side but am not sure if this is flump or something else. I know flump is ok as I was able to listen to the heartbeat at the doctors yesterday
Also would someone please be able to add me to the list? I'm due on October 8thI'm posting on my phone and know I will muck it up if I try and do it on here!!!
My scan is on the 26th may and although we are planning to find out the gender it won't be at this scan as the hospital charge £50 to tell you. Private gender scans are £40 here so we will be going for one of them instead!
Thanks, didn't mean to ramble on so much!

Realbutter: I love having 2 boys and I love the fact that they play together so well and are intested in the same things. Would dearly love a girl this time and 'swayed' for a girl as much as you can but we'll see. I don't mind if it's another little boy though.
Mancbird: Welcome! I didn't feel my first baby until around 18 weeks, second one around 13 weeks and this one about the same. You will feel as if you have butterflies in your tummy - it's the best feeling in the world! Hope you are beginning to feel a lot better xxThank you to everyone for sharing competitions!0 -

When I had my c-section nearly 3 years ago with DS2 I think I got some cheapie ones from Matalan. But can't remember if i went for BIG pants or normal ones. I think it might even have been the normal ones and they were actually fine
I can't remember either - my last section was 7 years ago.
Just want to make sure I am as comfy as poss.
Think maybe I went for full briefs in a size up - trouble is I don't want them falling down when the bumps gone do I! :rotfl:0 -
Re weight gain: I've put on 8.4kg at 23 weeks so heading for a teeny bit more than you sparkle. It was quite a slow and steady gain until about 18 weeks then shot up. So for the past few weeks I've been much more careful about snacking on fruit instead of biscuits and filling my dinner plate with veg instead of carbs. I'm short too so the bmi increase is quite scary and I want to reign it in by being sensible but not dieting. No need to beat ourselves up about it, just be sensible and aware of what's happening. MrsS, you're right about exercise. I can feel my muscles melting away and my bum and legs almost not recognisable. Can't wait to start running again (by my estimate I should be able to in about 6 months). Months and months ago someone posted a link to a pregnancy weight gain estimator with weekly ranges.0

Welcome to the newbies!:)
Re the weight gain I have gained about a stone and a half (not sure what that is in kg) and I am 32 weeks.
In past pregnancies I have gained 2 stone and 2 and half stone with DS but have lost the majority of it in the first 6 months.
It's interesting to read that somebody on here mentioned losing weight when breastfeeding - I didn't get that far with it myself but my sis put on lots of weight while feeding all 4 of her children as she said she was always so much hungrier than usual.
Probably one of those things like the weight gain in pregnancy that's different for everybody.0 -
galvanizersbaby wrote: »Can anyone who's recently had/or had a c section recommend any pants that they have purchased for hospital and the few sore weeks beyond?
Trying to get my hospital bits together and recall previously having to make sure pants were large so they didn't put pressure on section wound but can't remember how big I went pants wise or where I got them from!, lol! :rotfl:
I had disposable pants for the first week a size bigger than my usual undies.. then I just wore my normal ones.. but I wear the shorts style which are higher up the body rather than briefs.
I have been BOSSED by OH!!!!!! LMAO.. it is a bit like being told what to do by a 6ft 4 bunny! He said I need to get my back/hips looked at by somebody. I walked across the playground and back and by the time it to walking back I was fit to cry and by the time I got to the car it hurt too much to cry.. I could only just manage to gasp breath and it took me a good 5 minutes to get in the car!
I didn't even bother repying.. he knows they lied and binned the physio referral they were supposed to send in 8 weeks ago... and that when they offered to put in another I told them to place it in a strategic position and that obviously I am not allowed to be seen by people that I should be or where I want to be... Pee's me off, they expect us to dance to their whim yet can't be bothered to help when we need it..
I am in lots of pain and very cross and a bit upset too...LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0
