Congrats Elmo on team Pink :j i have been eyeing up the CK set in TK Maxx too!!

Am looking forward to today - off for a swim, then picking little sister up for a bit of shopping, then meeting best friend for lunch, then getting lady garden waxed  still, at least i wont have to think about it for the next 4 weeks!!

Only 2 weeks until we go to Cyprus, not sure i will fit into any of my normal holiday clothes, but have quite a few maxi dresses that im going to try on later, so hopefully they will do for the evenings and have a great pair of white linen maternity trousers that i got in the Next sale for £10, so hopefully wont have to buy too much!!

Have a great day everyone - labour vibes to those that need them x

My waist has went from 28-30in to 41 in under a fortnight. And I'm only 10+5.... Have a feeling twins are going to be very, very big. Went swimming yesterday, and wanted to stay there forever- my insides stopped feeling as if they were being squashed!

    Mightyroyals, good luck you both

Mightyroyals fingers crossed all goes smoothly for you and OH today!

Elmo congrats, it's so exciting and makes them that little more real doesn't it...?

PigPen hope you feel better and also to anyone else in pain. My hips and thigh area has calmed now but must get more Paramol just in case.

Lirin I am trying not to think about size or weight, so with twins you are def excused hun!

Weight: I am 29 weeks and gained 10kg so far - what about everyone else? Is this average?

Saw doc and can book my flight no probs, collecting letter tomorrow, looking forward to seeing my mum as it will all be a surprise and her best friend is picking me up, Sweetpea and I feel very sneaky!

Good morning hope everybody is doing well. :D

Tried to read back on all of yesterdays posts but have now managed to mix up what everybody has said :o. Glad all scans went well but sorry so many of you are struggling with pain at the moment.

Mightyroyals hope all is going well for your family today. :D

Lirn I hope things get a bit easier for you as time progresses but am glad at least swimming is providing you with at least some temporary relief especially in the current warm weather. :)

Missy hope you have a fab day and get lots done. If you are having any trouble with clothes fitting for holiday the really cheap stretchy empire line dresses boob tubes vests and shorts from the holiday range in Primark Asda and the likes are very bump friendly and comfortable and wash and dry super quick when on holiday. Please remember most of all though to check any shoes you are talking will be comfy and will still fit your feet if they swell in the heat. :o

Sparkle glad you have got your travel and visit plans sorted and hope you have a lovely time. :D

The only thing that I refuse ever during pregnancy is to be weighed so really not sure at all what I have put on but I have to eat a lot extra in order to stay well so will probably be a lot more than most. :o. For me the weight gain is a for later concern which I deal with after baby arrives and I know for sure that we are both ok. :o

Good luck to you and your OH Mightyroyals!

    Congrats on team pink Elmo!

Lirin and Sparkle I've given up weighing and measuring lol DH assures me my !!!!! hasn't got any bigger so thats good enough for me :rotfl:

Off to see the consultant today to see if my hernia will affect delivery. General surgeon last week thought it had sorted itself out so not really sure what to expect. Am also in absolute agony in my hips and back despite trying to sleep in a nest of pillows and blankets! Fortunately appointment is at the small hospital about a mile away so not far to drive - in and out of the car and changing gear is tear jerking!

On the other hand, no "gift" from the cat this morning :j and Bob is happily cartwheeling away :D

Sparkle - I'm due a day or so after you, so far i've gained 6kg. But i think that will go up massively. Anyone just try and stop me eating / grazing all day!

Hope all are well - i don't post so much on here (although I bet i will when i start my mat leave) but always have a lurk.

My best friend is due this saturday - I'm sooooo jealous!! she sent me a bump pic this morning - OMG!!! I can't imagine my bump size by the time i'm due. Scary!

    Hugs x

Sparkle.. up to about 2 stone weight gain is average.. but you gain what you do.. most of it will do after delivery anyway.. blood, fluid, baby, placenta all adds up. I gained over 5 stone with some of mine so I'd not worry. I lost about 12lb in the first few weeks with this one and have regained about 6lb so far at almost 18 weeks.... OMG  How did THAT happen?... That's almost halfway!!!!!!!!!! I might scream, panic and run in circles for a bit...   Unless you are living on burgers and chips I don't think there is very much you can do about how much you gain.. I piled 3.5 stone on with DS2 and I lived on cabbage and sprouts.. thankfully they don't give me wind! lol

Quick question - has anyone done yoga in pregnancy? Just wondering if it might help with the spd...

Saw on someone's post that they had a scan. Do we get more scans than just 12 and 20 week ones? Ive got nothing written on my maternity booklet about it that is all so Im not sure.
    pigpen wrote: »
you only get extra scans if there is concern about stuff.. low lying placenta, growth, movements etc.. so just having the 12 and 20 week ones is a good thing!

Hiya... was probably my post - had an extra scan at 24weeks due to borderline high blood pressure at 20weeks (had gone from normal to high which is unusual) - scan was just to check the uterine arteries were ok (that's the ones that supply your uterus and they wanted to check that there weren't any notches and that the blood supply is free flowing.

All was good though :j and baby is growing on target too! Strange appointment though as very short, OH almost missed it as he went to the wrong floor. No photograph either :( but that's more down to me not asking I think. Felt bad to be wasting their time/resources when baby was doing so well and I should just be thankful.

Also I asked the sonographer to write down the sex into a sealed envelope with the intention of giving it to my mum on her birthday in mid July but OH said that he felt wrong that anyone should know before me if I didn't want to know... cue me feeling crappy for even suggesting it and then us having a ceremonial tearing of the envelope on the hospital steps... OH even threw the pieces into separate bins - so all temptation is now removed! poor mama FG will have to hold off her shopping trip a bit longer. Its all so silly really because she could still buy a 'first outfit' for either sex and give the spare to my cousins who are expecting twins (one boy, one girl) - they'll probably still be fairly small even if they're carried to term.

Otherwise blood pressure and samples were all good at this morning's gp appointment so now I just have to keep 'cooking'

ps baby 'weighed' 1lb 6oz at 24weeks so needs to get about 5 times bigger  more oil on belly for me then xx

    have a nice day ladies!
    team yellow :)
Can't wait to meet you now baby!

oh, and after moaning about this not moving yesterday I woke up to ONE kick.. it was lying really high up against my navel so I think the reason I can't feel it is due to the dead nerves in my stomach and my lardiness!.. I spilled scalding water from the kettle on myself a few days ago and didn't feel it.. this might get dangerous given how many times I have burned clothing on the cooker while pregnant!
