For breastfeeding I have nursing bras with drop cups.. I fell out with the zip cups after nipping my skin a few times! and i have just ordinary vest tops.. I have found those waterfall cardies are fantastic at covering your midriff while feeding.. definitely worth investing in.. I have 4 now I think. Failing that bump bands or boob tubes under a t shirts are nice and discrete.. especially in winter when you middle gets cooooooooold!!!!!!
I got a couple of nighties from mothercare for £5 each on the sale rack.. they are hideous but practical.. they are dop cup but believe me once you've shown you nether regions to the world a bit of breast flesh is the least of your worries.. it gets to the point you show your perineum to everyone who walks onto the ward and nurses recognise you by the pretty stitching or haemorrhoids!
I like the idea of the bump bands! I managed to breastfeed for 10 months last time without any special feeding tops or anything so have no intention of buying any this time. I got nighties from Primark very cheap. Muslin squares are also a good cover up if you are self-conscious about flashing your boobs! I actually found I didn't care about who saw me breastfeeding, but thought I would be really embarassed about 'getting them out' :rotfl:. Like Pigpen says, once you've given birth and lost any shred of dignity, someone seeing you feeding your baby (which is perfectly natural) is the least of your worries.Olympic Countdown Challenge #145 ~ DFW Nerd #389 ~ Debt Free Date: [STRIKE]December 2015[/STRIKE] September 2015

Not posted for a couple of weeks as not much to update on, but I have been lurkingsupermaiden wrote: »Saw on someone's post that they had a scan. Do we get more scans than just 12 and 20 week ones? Ive got nothing written on my maternity booklet about it that is all so Im not sure.
I am having two extra scans (possibly more depending on how things go), but as pigpen says it is only because my consultant has concerns over my blood pressure and low BMI (my BMI is 0.5 in the underweight category).Biggest Loser Weight Loss: 13 / 20 lb0 -
Sorry ladies, TMI warning, but if I can't ask here then where else?
I'm 25+5... is it too early for me to start leaking?
It's just a tiny tiny bit, more on one side than the other, and it just seems to push out and dry up kind of in the nipple, but it's definitely a new thing... Or is it maybe just skin? Looks softer than that though... Sorry I'm just getting paranoid, my boobs are kinda central to DTD and I know if OH gets wind of this that'll be off the menu for a good long while...0 -
Thanks for the info on the extra scans. It would have been nice to see the baby again on one but I dont want it to be for anything being wrong if you know what I mean. So I am thankful for my 2 scans lol.
Elmo, I got my maternity items from asda. I had gone to town specifically to get stuff for my bag and thought there was no way I was leaving until I got something! So I got those. The maternity briefs and breast pads were on 2 for £2 and the maternity pads £1.08 so not bad I think? Still need to get more obviously but I thought I need to start on my own things and stop buying for baby for a minute at least!
Am quite tired today so going to head to bed soon. Had achey legs again this morning, I think its with just being able to lay on my sides lol so I keep turning from one achey leg to the other!
Saw some people today who were surprised Im 31 weeks as Im really not that big yet but I definitely do look pregnant, those who say otherwise are insulting! :rotfl::j0 -

Caelshorn - I'm 23w and have noticed similar. Completely freaked out by it. I mentioned it to OH as would prefer that than him notice it himself.
I'm also freaked out by the belly button stretching someone mentioned yesterday (sorry, can't remember if doglover or lablover) as I fear something similar will happen to mine. It's not pierced but the way it lies I think the top bit will suffer. Inspecting closely everyday and massaging lots to try and keep the skin supple.0 -
