Saw on someone's post that they had a scan. Do we get more scans than just 12 and 20 week ones? Ive got nothing written on my maternity booklet about it that is all so Im not sure.

Went to town today and bought some bits for my hospital bag. Maternity briefs.. twit twoo they are damn sexy :p! Maternity pads, breast pads and some wipes for if I want to freshen up. Had a look at nighties and things but didnt really find much. was looking for something to wear for if I have the birthing pool (which I would like), Im not a bikini sort of girl whatsoever so am not sure what to wear? My sister said what about a tankini but not sure there either! I thought maybe just a vest but not sure if that is suitable lol. Going to have to shop around some I think to find something. Also need a good place to get bras for after the birth as I only have 1 nursing bra but that fits me now and is a bit tight so not going to last! Any recommendations welcome :D

you only get extra scans if there is concern about stuff.. low lying placenta, growth, movements etc.. so just having the 12 and 20 week ones is a good thing!

    :jWe're having a GIRL!!!!!:j

I cant believe it ! i was sure it was a boy!!!!

Sonographer - i cant spell lol - said everything was fine though the placenta is a bit low but apparently not so much to worry about - we were in and out in 20 minutes if that! - little lady has long legs like me and looks like she has daddys nose and mummys lips lol.

    Im still in shock!

OH said he doesnt think he can handle two of me as there is enough pink things at home already and that he will turn her into a little punk rocker - i dont think so!! haha

I went straight into town and popped into TKMaxx before heading to work and bought a pack of 5 CK babygro - not very money saving at £10.00 for the pack but its retailed at £35.00 lol -i couldnt resist!

im off to go look at pink things on ebay now.

hope everyone is feeling ok today:D:D:D:D:D xxx

My friend had a water birth last year and she just went in with a vest top on but said she ended up ripping it off like the hulk:rotfl::rotfl:
    Shes normally very reserved haha!

Debenhams had some maternity bras in the sale - none in my size :( but they looked quite nice rather than boxey if you know what i mean.

Where did you get your hospital bag goodies from - i need to make a start with mine x

I've always used the mothercare nursing bras not the cheapest at 2 for £28 but I've found they fit well and the drop clip works well (pigpen I wasn't even brave enough to try a zipper:rotfl:) however my sister hates them and orders hers online. Matalan was recommended to me but they never seem have any in my size.

Water pool, any sort of cover up that you feel comfortable in and will feel comfortable in when its wet will be fine. I think many women don't bother with wearing anything as TBH modesty goes out the window as the contractions become stronger and it does have the advantage of being in perfect preperation for skin2skin. Personally I've just packed an old sports bra type top that I don't mind binning as I'm planning to birth in the water and it can get messy so the fabric might stain. One lady on here mentioned a bikini suit with one of those little skirts for modesty which I thought would be a fab idea for those who are very shy. I think though that need to cover up is more to be prepared in the mind in the run up to labour and those of us who've already had 1 (or more LOL) will all tell you that on the day you really don't care.

Thanks Kandboys - I will be 33 weeks on Sunday so earliest I will be moving will be 34 weeks
My place is sold but OH hasn't sold his yet so we are renting temporarily so will have to move again hopefully in 6 months or so.

I plan to let everyone else do the actual moving in and drift in at some point once they have unpacked ;)

That's exactly what I did - the directing not the lifting :D
