I still have the bag from last time... and I'd started packing it before being PG (bought a light dressing gown because hospitals are stifling) but that was because I was paranoid about my health in general and I wanted to make sure I had everything (my washing system is terrible!) and because OH left me in hospital once with basically nothing - no wash stuff or anything, he had it in the car and wouldn't come back in with it! that's not happening again! :rotfl:
Congrats Vroom and for the other births - the pics and birth stories are greatMum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession:o

Sorry not had a chance to read back properly so I hope everybody is doing well and had a good day.
Hospital was interesting today if not quite how I had hoped it would be.. My baby is still well above the 95th centile but seems to be doing well
. Haemoglobin levels still very low despite the amount of iron tablets I am ingesting!
. Also I have hamorrhages in not one but both of my eyes so may end up spending some time in opthalmology after delivery.
.

Delain my husband did that to me too and I was desperate to brush my teeth that I called my friends ward in the adjoining general hospital at 01:00 to plead with her to bring me one of the spare toothbrushes and cheap toothpaste from ward stores over to the maternity hospital. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:0

Sorry to hear that
Do they have any idea why your iron levels aren't rising?Olympic Countdown Challenge #145 ~ DFW Nerd #389 ~ Debt Free Date: [STRIKE]December 2015[/STRIKE] September 2015

Oh no he was very good when I had the baby - he bought me new stuff and bag to put it in
This was an A&E admission and I'd left the wash stuff in the car :eek:Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession:o

Now I have the dilemma of not knowing how long I'll be detained at NHS pleasure post-birth, so I have no idea how much to pack. I suppose I'll have to pack for 2 days and anything over and above that, DH will have to bring another bag of stuff in.
Picked up my blood transfusion antibody card from the GP - oh the excitement. Lovely letter from Leeds Transfusion Service explaining what red cell antibodies are, whereas I expected a leaflet about my condition from what the GP said. Oh well.
Feeling quite down tonight
Even though I feel reassured from speaking to GP, I have a whole other list of questions I want to ask now, like what will happen at delivery - will they need to take the baby away for tests, or to SCBU for jaundice treatment as standard, or will I get mummy cuddles as normal and have him next to me in his fish bowl. Will I have to be induced so they know when he's born to ensure they have the correct staff on site in case of problems, or will I be left to go au naturel.
Plus, still no response from HR regarding my pay query. How rude. They're making me feel like I no longer work for them. I've been blocked from accessing my emails, have had next to no support from them whilst I've been off, and they don't respond to my pay or holiday or maternity entitlement queries. Shocking.
On top of everything else, I just sneezed and wet myself a bit so now I feel like I need to be wearing Tena Lady:rotfl:
Really glad for you that its not as bad as they first suggested, helps me to write questions down as I think of them, that way when you see the relevant person (your consultant?) you can be sure not to forget.
Terrible that your work seem to have cut you off, did you say you were in an union - can they help at all?
I know the feeling with the tena lady - TMI coming up:D - up until 4 weeks ago when the tablets they prescribed for heartburn fixed my vomit problem I was having major wee control problems when being sick during the night to the extent I had to have a pile of towels in the bathroom ready to throw one in front of the toilet:(0
