Afternoon Ladies
Just catching up on the thread after the bank holiday - we had people staying for the weekend and i am so glad to get my house back, im feeling very territorial at the mo!
We have our scan tomorrow, so fingers crossed baby is playing ball and we can find out if we are team pink or team blue :j
Teenie i have everything crossed for you, i was induced with DD at 42 weeks, finally had her at 42+3 by EMCS after i failed to dilate - i was at 4cm for 2 days!!! But then she was huge at 10lb 10oz, so was probably stuck!! I hope you will be having cuddles very soon, takes lots of magazines and books to keep you busy and lots of change for the hospital vending machines and TV xxxxDue 26th July, team yellow0 -
Hospital tv is bloody expensive. £30 for 12 days
Good luck Teenie!Im thinking of you.

LOL.. you know what my response to a hospital visit would be!
It is 'being assaulted/penetrated without consent that gives it the 'rape' term.. and until it is taken that seriously medical staff will think it is ok
Well if I'd stayed home instead of going to hospital last September I would have lasted less than 2 days before falling asleep and just not waking up according to one doctor, when he heard I'd asked to wait until my doctors were open for the blood test  So I should go. But I don't feel anywhere as bad as I did then.
My blood iron was 45 (or 4.5) lol. They like to transfuse when you get below 70 (7):rotfl:
I must admit I'll be writing 'ABSOLUTELY NO SWEEPS' on my notes in huge red letters this time and refusing point blank to be examined by that consultant who did it without asking when she knew I was reluctant to be examined at all, when it wasn't necessary at that stage. She was just supposed to be looking at my other condition and discussing being admitted to the maternity hospital, so I won't be letting her anywhere near meMum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession:o

Msspendalot hope the levels come back under 4 for you...
Missy good luck for tomorrow's scan!
I hope something is happening with Vroom, no news is good news?
Teenie hope everything goes alright for you, must be so hard, am thinking of you.
Tidied up nursery, managed to sort clothes into what we will need in July for the first 3 months or so, then have storage boxes for up to 1 year, 1-2 years, 2 years plus. Freecycle has been brilliant as have boot fairs for clothes. Plan to get the first 6 months clothes washed in June so they're ready for bubs...
Also wrote out my hospital bag list - time to start ticking some of those items off!:):)

But my SIL was in for a few weeks because her lung kept collapsing, and was telling us the cost. It was £5 for 24hrs which is unfair because no-one watches tv for 24hrs straight.
Yeah it's rubbish!
But you can call landlines for free so you can call me and complain loudly about anything you want
I usually take books :rotfl: As this monster is due after christmas I might just ask OH for one of those kindle whobobs to save the weight of my bag :rotfl:

I need to buy a bag still
Now I have the dilemma of not knowing how long I'll be detained at NHS pleasure post-birth, so I have no idea how much to pack. I suppose I'll have to pack for 2 days and anything over and above that, DH will have to bring another bag of stuff in.
Picked up my blood transfusion antibody card from the GP - oh the excitement. Lovely letter from Leeds Transfusion Service explaining what red cell antibodies are, whereas I expected a leaflet about my condition from what the GP said. Oh well.
Feeling quite down tonight
Even though I feel reassured from speaking to GP, I have a whole other list of questions I want to ask now, like what will happen at delivery - will they need to take the baby away for tests, or to SCBU for jaundice treatment as standard, or will I get mummy cuddles as normal and have him next to me in his fish bowl. Will I have to be induced so they know when he's born to ensure they have the correct staff on site in case of problems, or will I be left to go au naturel.
Plus, still no response from HR regarding my pay query. How rude. They're making me feel like I no longer work for them. I've been blocked from accessing my emails, have had next to no support from them whilst I've been off, and they don't respond to my pay or holiday or maternity entitlement queries. Shocking.
On top of everything else, I just sneezed and wet myself a bit so now I feel like I need to be wearing Tena Lady:rotfl:
