Just a little update re Babyboysmummy and Alfred

He has now been moved to the local unit, has gained weight and is up to 3lbs now, and is in a normal open cot. He is just starting to learn to breastfeed and it is going well (BBM has been expressing and he has been getting tube or cup fed up to now) :j:j:j

:jCongratulations on Baby Isla Nic - gorgeous name!

    Happy Due Date Digital!

    Big hugs to teenie :grouphug:

claireloo I feel your pain with the constant comments. I'm constantly being told Im not going to make it to my due date as am too big and carrying very low. I just feel like telling everybody to pee off!

Back in work now :( I have really lost all interest in anything to do with working now - wish I could start ML soon but I would rather have more time off with baby when she comes so don't want to leave too soon. Just need to try and concentrate my brain on things other than babies I suppose :rotfl:(not sure how that works when I check this thread 10 times a day mind)

    Hope everyone is doing well!

    Edit:
    Hi kandboys!

Thanks for the update mrsspendalot glad to hear baby Alfred is doing much better!

Big congrats to Nic, lovely name and hope all is well!

Babyboysmummy hope he continues to recover well and get strong, glas the breastfeeding is going ok.

Puzzled hope scan goes well today for you both!

Welcome to any newbies as well, this is a lovely helpful thread and you will get so much from it.

I had decided to take today off anyway so I am so glad I did, as it extends the weekend and gives my 'aching' time to hopefully calm down.
Am being productive, closing bank/saving accounts I no longer use, confirming ante natal appointments, arranging dentists etc... want to also investigate a decent sim only deal for my phone as my contract is up and once on ML, work won't be paying anymore.
Only May and June to work now - 8 weeks, might even be 7if I take a week hol before end June, scary!

pigpen I wouldn't worry too much. You have clothes from your current baby that you can use if this little one comes early. You're already breast feeding so that dinner sorted for them, ha ha. You'll have toys, blankets, cloths etc in the house already.

Anything else, there's always online shopping and next day delivery. You'll be absolutely fine. In fact, you're probably more prepared than the rest of us, :)

LOL... I'm probably not.. the clothes are all pink.. so if it is a boy he will look gorgeous..

It is more emotionally prepared that I need.. I am not grown up enough to have a baby :p .. OH is still struggling with Squeak and i know he doesn't want her and wants this one even less. I MUST get the girls room decorated before this one even thinks about arriving.. I have so much to do and so little time... I am just not motivated TBH..

To some extent I think I am still in denial.. it doesn't move much and I am not at the heavy lumbering stage so it doesn't even seem real either.

It's a shame about your other half. That must be really hard for you but he needs to man up. You didn't do this on your own.

Maybe you'll feel more motivated when you've had the 20 week scan. Are you going to find out what you're having? That may help plan things, esp if it's another girl.

HUGS Teenie - just wishing you good luck really as not much more I can add to others comments. Just try to remember you'll be having mummy cuddles before very long xx

Congrats to other new mummies - sorry I've been away all weekend so haven't properly read back.

Minor rant now feel free to ignore. I've been in work for all of 30 minutes and already 3 people have said to me (in fact the only thing anyone has said to me this morning) is gosh you've really grown over the weekend haven't you? I'm not even 25 weeks yet - is this what I've got to look forward to for the next 15 (+) weeks??? This was the one thing I was dreading - I'm not Claire the capable employee anymore, I'm Claire the pregnant woman - full stop. I really feel like I shouldn't moan. I love my bump and I don't normally mind people commenting on it but its like it the only thing people talk to me about now

    And breathe :o

lol! yes - it's annoying isn't it! -it's the peeps you hardly know who try and engage you in chat about personal stuff and those that seem to think they can touch your bump that really get me going ;)
