It seems selfish for me to be worrying about this I know but i've only had one breast since 2006 & thinking I was going to get my breasts reconstructed eventually was the only thing keeping me going.
Just wanted to say it doesnt seem selfish at all to me, cant even begin to imagine what you have been through. I hope everything goes smoothly for youBiggest Loser Weight Loss: 13 / 20 lb0 -

Hi ladies,
I'm just popping over from the less than 12 week thread to ask you experienced gals a quick question...
I'm currently 7+5 and have got my 12 week scan on 31st May. That's all fine but I won't get to see the midwife (for the first time) until 29th June when I'll be 16 weeks! We're dying to tell friends and family and need to start making arrangements with work to move back to the UK (currently in Australia) and I'm a bit superstitious about waiting before revealing the news, but should I wait until after seeing the midwife?? Or do you think telling people after the scan will be ok?
Seeing the gp on weds, so I'll ask her then too, but just wondered what you all thought?
Many thanks, bm0 -
Blue Monkey congratulations, most people like to start telling people once they've had their 12 wk scan, this is partly because the scan might pick up any problems but mainly because once you are past 12 weeks the chance of a miscarrage drops dramatically. I don't think there is any reason to wait to see your midwife, 1st appointments are all about paperwork anyway.0

Blue Monkey I think most people tend to tell family after the 12 week scan when they have seen baby for first time but you may want to tell people before that point just for some support as you may find some pregnancy symptoms quite hard to cope with and if you have severe ms hard to hide as well.
. I have seen a few people making their announcement by posting their scan pic on Facebook which may be an option for you.
. Congratulations on your pregnancy and I do hope that your symptoms are bearable should you choose to keep your news private for the time being.

Morning bumpettes,
Sorry been MIA,I've got my inlaws staying this weekend so I feel bad sitting online.
Hi blue monkey, we told everyone after the12 w scan. As soon as we finally knew there was a baby in there and it was all ok. I would of burst by 16 weeks if I couldn't tell anyone.
Nothing happening for me. In now 40 +2. I've had the same pains I've had for over a week.
Were all off to the beach or a picnic today, depends on how windy it it.not going too far from the hospital though lol.
Hope everyone has a nice Saturday.:santa2::xmastree::santa2:0 -
Morning ladies
Still here 41 weeks today and no sign of anything !! I'm actually kind of ok with it, obviously I would prefer to go myself but on a practical level (child care and other family goings on) Wednesday is an ok day.
I did wake up last night and start panicking about the induction process again and I am quite scared but I have to tell myself it will be ok this time. After the second load of gel that day I went from having nothing to full on painful contractions within a matter of minutes, with no gaps between them for a rest or a breather I am worried about this happening again. Things eventually did settle down into more regular contractions and I know I can cope with these.
Has anyone been induced before with prostin? Was this your experience too or did things build up gradually for you? I was induced for the whole week so i'm not sure if this happened because of the amount of gel (and pessary) over the week or if this is what normally happens with prostin??
Well it's a gorgeous day here again, we have been so lucky with this weather so going to have to get out, I don't feel i have been out the whole week between not being well etc not that I can actually walk anywhere LOL this baby makes that impossible!!
Enjoy your day ladies and fingers crossed for us boldies"That's no reason to cry. One cries because one is sad. For example, I cry because others are stupid, and that makes me sad."0 -
Good morning everybody hope you are all doing well.
Nic sorry there is no sign of baby yet but hope you enjoy your day at the beach
Teenie sorry I don't know anything about being induced as have never made it far enough yet.. Can you call your hospital and discuss it with anyone so that you know what will happen and you can plan ahead hopefully feeling more relaxed....well a bit more anyway!
