BCS admittedly not gestational diabetes but I have been an insulin dependent diabetic for the last 32 years. If I can help at all in any way please let me know.
. It is certainly not the worst condition to have as it is very manageable. In some ways it has even served me well as through necessity I am very organized and very good at planning ahead.
. The diet and fitness side is not an issue either you just become better at sticking to it than your friends so there is never any need for mad pre holiday diets. :rotfl:

KmmyMarky I am one of the less knowledgeable people here but can tell you that boots parenting club is very good or at least it is for me anyway. Tesco also have a pregnancy and baby and toddler club which can be good at times for vouchers. Keep an eye open when in your local supermarkets as well as most do baby events from time to time which can offer really good savings if you have available space to stockpile items.0

Hello ladies!
Congrats to Doglover and Clairieloo on viability, I'm there too now and I'm dead chuffed :j !
Thanks I'm not technically 24 weeks until tomorrow but near enough now so yey:j
Soooo excited about the wedding tomorrow. OH thinks I'm so sad spending my day off in front of the TV but I don't care. I love a good wedding.
Doing the Big Shop for Bambino on Saturday. I have my list at the ready. Its gonna cost a small fortune but we have been saving since finding out I was pg and we have planned exactly what we'll be buying from the best value places and got an offer of some sort on almost everything. So I'm really excited now. Still feel its a bit early but I suppose I can't put it off forever and now's as good a time as any.
Labour vibes to those who need them xxLeo James arrived 7 days late on 26th August 2011 by emergency CS :j Such a cheeky chappy now :T0 -

I wish I could get you to explain this to my OH, yesterday he tells me he down to his last bottle of insulin, repeat prescriptions here take 3 days and it a long bank holiday:eek: All I get in response is "I can't remember everything" honestly men:mad::mad: (Luckily surgery sorted it for me and I picked it up tonight at)0 -
Men are different though!
. If he ever does that to you again both boots and asda pharmacies are brilliant and will sell you the item for a nominal charge and refund that when you take in a prescription next time.

Thats really useful to know thanks, he's so bad with it all its not unusual 4 him to leave telling me 2 the last minute. After 25+ yrs of being diabetic you'd think he would have accepted it but no he has such issues he can't even say the word diabetesIn the 6 yrs we've been together the closest I've heard him get is to admit that he's insulin dependant.

I think it may well be a male pride thing unfortunately.
. For me it is just part of who I am like having brown eyes and a twisted sense of humour nothing more but through work I have met many people who struggle with it like your husband does.

Good morning ladies, happy royal wedding day! I hope those babies hang on long enough to let you see the wedding and then the boldies have their babes this eve (esp Vroom!!).
Happy V day to Claireloo and Caelshorn! Enjoy your big shop Claireloo. You'll have great fun and it makes it seem so much more real when you've got baby stuff kicking around (well that's how I felt anyway)! I found a mcdonalds breakfast helped set me up before hitting the shops! Hee hee!
I think DH and I have finally narrowed down a list of names but we'll probably end up choosing the final name once he's been born. A bit saddo comparison but when we got our puppy we had chosen a name but as soon as he came home his name didn't suit him so it got changed. Speaking of our pup he's been doing brilliantly with training (all DH and not classes - very MSE!) and will be a year in June. He'll be de-manned in the next month or two so he has a good chance to recover and get the hormones out before bubs comes along. He's brill with kids down the park and it'll be summer when bubs arrives we should have plenty of time in the nice weather to get them used to one another. I'm looking forward to them growing up together and they should have a good 12 - 15 years together.
Anyway I've rambled again so sorry! Must get the dog out soon anyway! Have a good day x0 -
