Great news little angel. Was it your OH who wouldnt let you buy anything before scan? If so, sounds like you're making up for it!0

first of all congratulations to those who've had their little bundles - sorry not read back properly. and huge vibes to the boldies!
had my scan on tuesday, i was sooo nervous they would find something wrong with the little wriggler, but all is finethe baby wouldn't stop moving, making it really difficult for the sonographer to get all the measurments :rotfl:she kept saying "oh, stop moving baby!"
it was amazing, you could see everything so clearly, the baby had hiccups and we could see it opening and closing it's mouth
although we decided to stay team yellow, i was trying really hard to see if i could tell what it was, but nope, i couldn't see, so team yellow all the way now.
to celebrate we went and ordered our pram and car seat, we managed to save nearly £100 with various offers! i got all the sheets for the crib, which should have come to £35 but i went armed with various vouchers, so saved £25 :T then on to boots where i claimed my free changing bag with a pack of nappies - the bag doesn't seem very big though?
so all in all a great day, which i'm still shattered from
Oooh sounds so exciting! Do you have any photos for us to see?! I can't wait for mine on Wednesday.
Which pram did you go for? (I love noseying about other people's baby stuff!)

They haven't done my pay correctly this month. Contacted HR this morning and still no one has got back to me with an answer. Plus, I've had nothing at all to confirm my maternity leave and pay, and it's over a month now since I submitted my MATB1 and notification. I officially start maternity leave a month tomorrow and have no idea what my pay calculation is. I need to know so I can ring tax credits and give them my income estimate for 2011/12 which is going to be much lower than last year because of maternity. Went to log onto my work email to find the contact details for payroll, and they have blocked my email access! Just feel like everything is conspiring against me today.
Oh, and I need a hospital bag - any recommendations??
I sense a large bar of chocolate is needed!!!
Me too! - I am still at work and due to go on maternity leave 26th May and have heard not a dickie bird - they are pretty useless our HR!
I can work out my maternity pay myself though but would be nice to have it officially confirmed in wriiting!0 -

That makes me feel a bit better thenbut it is pretty rubbish! After they got my pay wrong today, I just don't trust them to pay me properly on maternity and want it all in writing. It's not the first time they've paid me incorrectly either. I also want written confirmation that the date I expect to go back is right and stuff like that so they can't turn round later and say I'm due back on a different date etc.
This is the same HR who never bothered to confirm my annual leave issues regarding being on sick. In the end my manager did phone me back with the answer. It's pretty poor though!Olympic Countdown Challenge #145 ~ DFW Nerd #389 ~ Debt Free Date: [STRIKE]December 2015[/STRIKE] September 2015

baby still breech! everything else fine. Midwife said that because of the bank hols etc I prob wouldn't get an appointment sooner than weds when i'm seeing consultant anyway, so they will scan me then to see whats what. Although she did say if i went in to labour or my waters went in the mean time, i've got to get to hospital straight away in case a foot or something comes out
anyway going to go bung chicken niuggets and chips in the oven for the kids-they got to choose dinner as a 'reward' (interpret as BRIBE!) for behaving when we were with the midwife! Debating whether i can be bothered to cook for me and dh or to order a take away-i'm thinking take away :rotfl: well, there IS a new indian in town AND they deliver-so would be rude not to give them a go lol0 -
Sorry to hear so many of you are having so many problems with workplaces sorting out maternity pay and leave allowances. I feel guilty as I have been off sick for months due to pregnancy complications and mine have been brilliant and kept me constantly updated when they have had to do anything like carry my leave allowance over to the following year.
Angel I am glad to hear that everything went so well at your scan today.
MrsSpendalot I have a samsonite weekender/maternity bag which I love as it holds loads of things has pockets and has a detachable toiletry bag that clips on.
Madness you totally deserve a takeaway after your midwife appointment.0 -

I feel really guilty too. I told my boss when I was 10 weeks pregnant, and I've been off sick since 18 weeks
They haven't been great with me to be honest, I don't even know who is covering my maternity leave. To find they have stopped me accessing my work emails from home is really annoying - they advertise internal vacancies etc on there, and whilst on maternity leave I should be able to access stuff like that. I had to beg and beg to find out about my annual leave. Just feel like I've been forgotten about.koalamummy wrote: »MrsSpendalot I have a samsonite weekender/maternity bag which I love as it holds loads of things has pockets and has a detachable toiletry bag that clips on.
ThanksI can't decide between just buying something really cheap, or getting something reasonable which I can use again and again as luggage

Hello ladies!
Congrats to all the new mummies and their gorgeous babies!! I'm so jealous, I can't wait to meet mine...
And of course vibes to all you ladies overdue and due and uncomfy and impatient. It must be frustrating to have to wait sooo loooong.
Congrats to Doglover and Clairieloo on viability, I'm there too now and I'm dead chuffed :j Had a MW appointment this morning and baby is still lying tansverse, which explains the poking on both sidesGot my MATb form and was told I'll have to take a photocopy for OHs work, as they only give out one.
And apparently I can expect a lot of growth in the next four weeks. Which I know already, I have such carb cravings it's unreal. Definitely have a bump now. Had a parcel delivered today (I'm getting quite a few of those thesedays) and when I apologised for all the stairs he commented that I would need a ground floor home soon. Hah! I wish.
Anyway, I'm celebrating viability with a visit to the Baby&Toddler Show. I'm going tomorrow (quiet, plus a free £15 boots goodie bag) and Saturday (with my friend who is due the same weeks as me). Hoping to get a 20%voucher off a hypnobirthing course.
Re Nuby comp: I actually got two pumps through the post, one manual and one travel. Is it really naughty of me to keep them both?
Also I got a leaflet about the Asda baby event, which lasts until May 15th.
Hope you all have a lovely week-end!0 -
