I have open access to the consultant clinic.. just need to ring his secretary and tell her I need to go.. not sure if that is a good thing or not.. I was supposed to go 2 weeks ao and refused.. They couldn't give me a good enough reason why I needed to be seen.. other than 'the consultant wants to see you personally, not one of his minions' I asked why and they said they didn't know but it might be because it is number 10.. I said that really isn't a good reason, when he thinks of a better one ring me back!'
I have had consultants ring me at home themselves in the past.. :whistle:LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Happy Due Day and Congrats on viablility Doglover
Sorry ot hear some of you are having issues with the NHS - so far i have been really impressed with all the care i have recieved (aside from the appointment with the consultant but that was more the shock of him sayin what i was totally not expecting rather than them doing anything wrong)
Hope you have everything resolved asap and that you and your babies dont suffer for it!
Apricot - thanks for the reminder about the Nuby comp - i completely forgot and am having my scan on Tuesday so I can upload my picture and keep my fingers crossed
Hope everyone is having a good day and that the sunshine helps the Boldies

No blood results back yet from the hospital, but I got hubby to ask GP what blood group he is in the meantime, and he is O+ so I guess that is definitely where the problem comes from
Trying not to stress about it too much, and hopefully by this time next week I'll have some proper answers.
Not having a good day today really, feeling very stressed with my stupid employers as they have paid me wrong and no one seems to want to answer my queries
Sorry to moan.
Good luck boldies xxxxOlympic Countdown Challenge #145 ~ DFW Nerd #389 ~ Debt Free Date: [STRIKE]December 2015[/STRIKE] September 2015

MrsSpendalot hope you get the answers you need very soon.
. Try not to worry too much about your blood results I know it is easy for me to say but my parents had the same issue and that was back in the 1970's and early 1980's and with the exception of my oldest brother everything went really smoothly and the problems with him were only because nobody had even thought to test back then. Medicine has moved on so much and they really do know what they are doing now.

Thanks - just hard not to worry really. Just rang the surgery and the report results haven't come back yet from the specialist lab. The receptionist is going to ask one of the GPs to have a dig and give me a ring if there is anything they can find out. As for whether they know what they're doing, I'm not sure, as they gave me the anti-D jab even though I've got antibodies, which they're not supposed toOlympic Countdown Challenge #145 ~ DFW Nerd #389 ~ Debt Free Date: [STRIKE]December 2015[/STRIKE] September 2015

Sorry I didn't mean to sound dismissive or anything like that
. If it was me I would be frantic but am a bit of a neurotic type at the best of times anyway.
. Just wanted you to be reassured that there are lots of children out there who suffered no lasting effects as a result of the antibody problem that you are suffering.
. I hope that I have not upset you as I really did not mean to.

No not at all - didn't mean to come across like that, honestly no offence taken
I'm finding the hardest part not knowing what is happening inside me, to my baby. If someone could test me now, check him over and tell me the levels of antibodies aren't causing a problem I'd be fine. It's worrying about whether the levels have increased in the last 2 weeks etc and what damage it might be doing to him that's stressing me out. I'm fretting about the fact that our hospital doesn't have facilities to deal with that type of problem and I'll have to travel 60 odd miles away to give birth so all the necessary stuff is to hand, should a problem arise. I'm just feeling sorry for myself today and I could cry. I think I was hoping they'd have made a mistake, but if hubby is definitely rhesus + then it is unlikely to be a mistake.Olympic Countdown Challenge #145 ~ DFW Nerd #389 ~ Debt Free Date: [STRIKE]December 2015[/STRIKE] September 2015

Hugs Mrs Spendalot - I'm Rhesus neg too - I had the routine anti d jab at 28 weeks and they did find some antibodies in my blood test but I did have some bleeding earlier on in the pregnancy and some anti d injections after these episodes (as I had with my other 2 children)
I didn't realise they weren't supposed to give you the anti d if antibodies were found in your blood?! - I'm a bit confused!0 -

Apparently it doesn't work if you're already 'sensitized' so it's pointless giving you it if you're already producing antibodies - and because the anti-D injection actually puts antibodies into your system to prevent you developing your own, if you have your own too it is possibly harder to track whether your own antibodies are increasing because there is some of the injected stuff in there too.
I haven't had any bleeding at all during pregnancy with any of the 4 pregnancies - just find it all very confusing!Olympic Countdown Challenge #145 ~ DFW Nerd #389 ~ Debt Free Date: [STRIKE]December 2015[/STRIKE] September 2015

MrsS.. they send my bloods to Newcastle. Isn't there a SCBU closer? We have a really good one here.. shame it is the crappiest hospital in the world and there are no facilities for parents to stay with babies which is ridiculous! I have no idea what my AB levels are either but I am sure all is fine.. not much I can do if it isn't so I'm not in the slightest worried. What were the levels when they last did the bloods? Have they offered a scan to check baby? enlarged heart, spleen or liver or excessive fluid in baby could show there is the start of a problem.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0
