Baby girl due September 20130 -
right am off to MW, going to walk there as I can't get in the car. Huge feet here I come.
Wish me luck that swollen feet and knackered knees, hips and back result in a sweep (if not, lots of crying and wailing although I will be like that when I get home!)
I have my big Bridget Jones knicks on and a pad in case :j:jOur gorgeous baby boy born 2nd May 2011 - 12 days overdue!!:j:j0 -

Congratulations Sarahjane!
Good luck Vroom!
I am just back from lunch.I ate so much I think I might actually explode oops! I am seeing a lot more of OH since being on maternity leave which is nice. He works shifts so we were like ships passing sometimes before but now I see him when he is here yay.0 -
Congrats to new mummies and good luck to those being induced/having sections today.
I went to view a house to rent at lunchtime today and it was halfway decent so think we are going to go for it and rent it till we get both our places sold - we are fast running out of time if we are going to move before baby is born.
The kids are still away on holiday with my sister and bro in law and having a whale of time apparently so I am making the most of my free time and relaxing as much as possible after work.
Rather annoyingly things seem to be getting pretty busy at work now and I'm finding it heavy going.
Still I have next week off as it's still half term and then only 5 more weeks till I go on maternity leave :j
GarnetLady - Love the pic - I have a low lying placenta too (abutting they call it) - I have a scan booked for 3 weeks time when I am hoping that it will have moved away - I'm already booked in for section though so won't make much difference labourwise.0 -
Hi everyone!
Just popping in from the 12 -24 weeks thread with a quick question, hope thats ok!
I'm 14+4 and I've just noticed my hips clicking as I walked to the shop. They're now really sore and achyhas anyone else had anything similar? Guess I'm just after some reassurance that it's only liagments and nothing more concerning iyswim!
TIA, Win xx0 -
Congratulations Sarahjanetim. :j
Good luck at your appointment vroom.
It may just be ligaments Winnie but I'd mention it to the mw next time incase it's the start of spd. Everthing does get softer and clicks more though.
I've had a nice day with DS. Been swimming then took him for lunch.:santa2::xmastree::santa2:0 -
Hello ladies,
Been a week since I posted but I have a question that may make me sound really stupid. Car seats that come as part of a travel system - do ALL of them have to have seperate bases. Or are they one of those things that make life easier getting little-un in and out of the car? I could read the instructions but the whole lot is in my parents loft!!
Well I'm 25 weeks today and i think I am going back to first tri tiredness!! Really struggling with the yawns, concentration and heavy eyes.
Hope appointments go tickety-boo for those that are having them:heart2: Mummy to one gorgeous little girl :heart2:0 -
the bases make it incredibly easy getting the seats in and out of the car we didn't have one for Squeak until just before christmas when we got the riot bus and it has made masses of difference. Baby is not meant to be in the car seat for very long though as it puts them at risk of suffocation.
Personally I don't think they should be allowed to make travel sysems that enable people to have the baby in a car seat for hours at a time given it is dangerous.. I purposely got a car seat that wouldn't fit my pushchair.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Hi Ladies,
Hope everyone is well!!!
I had my 34 week appontment yesterday and everything is fine! Baby is breech at the minute, but midwife said they give until 37 weeks before making alternative plans!!
RE Paternity Leave: DH is lucky that he will get the 2 weeks off, on full pay, and he can take it when baby decides to come, he just had to let them know my due date so that have a rough idea when baby is expected! We wouldn't have been able to afford for him to take is on the statutory pay, so he would have taken it as holiday.
Also following on from the discussion about baby arriving on 29th April, DH has said from the start that Baby would come then-even before it was announced as the wedding day (I will be 36 + 5 then, the same as when ds 2 was born) and also our girls name (at the minute anyway!!) is Katy, so we need to either hope that baby doesn't come on the 29th, or if it does it's a boy, or if it does and it's a girl, re-think the name :rotfl:
Anyway going to go and raid the cupboard-my appetite has shot through the roof the last week!! think baby must be having a growth spurt-hope this doesn't carry on though cos i'll be the size of a (bigger) house by the time it comes :rotfl:0
