    Morning ladies

Sorry I've been AWOL - I don't seem to get the time to post as much any more. :(

Perdi - congrats on team pink!

Twil1ght - my jeans were from New Look - £16. They are over the bump which isn't ideal but they do for now. They were very roomy - I managed to get a size 10 which still fits me well now. I think my next lot will be from Gap - I love their jeans.

17+2 today - I think I felt baby moving over the weekend - a bit like squirming inside of me. :) I loved it. DH also said he thought he could hear the heartbeat too (we read that a toilet roll worked as an amplifier so we've been trying that out - what a sight we must look!!)

Went to M&P at the weekend to look at pushchairs. We went to look at Pliko and Sola. Initally I liked Pliko as I liked it's lie down feature and it looked cosier for baby, but having seen it be converted from pram to pushchair compared to the Sola - I'm having second thoughts and the Sola is definitely top of the list!! It seems strudy enough for walking the dog, easy to add the car seat on, looks nice, folds easily and compactly and is lightweight too.

But, I am nervous about buying the first one I liked..... It's a big purchase! Did anyone think about the Sola and change their mind? Is there anything else out there of similar price and style?

We went to a 1 year old's 1st birthday party yesterday and there were loads of kids there ranging from 3 weeks to 3 years!! Eek - it was utter chaos! The 3 week old was still under 7lb as she has lost a lot of weight - scary to think I may be responsible for something so teeny. But so cute! :D

Have a good day ladies - I hear the weather is turning from tomorrow so make the most of it if you can!!

    xDx

    Good morning ladies. :D

Nic sorry to hear you have been suffering so badly as I really don't think that you get pain worse than headaches :(. And I am one of the lucky ones with Spd but I know that I find headaches harder to deal with.

DD if this is your first pram that you are buying it might be best to go to as many shops as possible to try out as many as possible to really make sure that what you are buying is the right one for you. Remember to get to play about with them and folding them and making sure that they will fit in your car boot and leave enough space for the other things you will need to fit in like food shopping. Also make sure that you try out the carseat and that it fits properly and easily into your car since you will be using it through the winter and the last thing you will need is a difficult fidgety seat that takes an age to install. You can tell that I made made a few poor choices in the pram department can't you? :rotfl:

It is my first pram and I have heard horror stories of people choosing poorly and then buying another which is why I'm keen to get it right. Everyone keeps telling me not to buy an expensive one and go for a buggy but we need something to keep baby in before it's 6 months and to keep it warm throughout winter!!

    Thanks for the advice

I just looked at the Sola and it does look lovely :). I too need a carry cot for through the winter as my little boy starts nursery in August and we will have a lot of walking to do through the colder months. Just pick what is right for your family and forget what everybody else says as it you who will be using it every day. :)

    Morning All!

Still no news from the Boldies?

Deb I think I am set on the Sola too, I have read a lot of reviews:
    http://www.which.co.uk/baby-and-child/baby-transport/reviews/pushchairs/mamas---papas-sola/customer-views/
    http://www.very.co.uk/mamas-papas-sola-pushchair---green/665544686.prd?browseToken=%2fq%2fsola&prdToken=/p/prod5998292-sku10091652
    http://www.mamasandpapas.com/product-sola-2-in-1-orchid/103511500/type-i/
I haven't come across anything that has changed my mind yet! (Actually the one that did make me waiver said Stacey Slater on Eastenders had it!)

:grouphug: Nic Hope you feel better xxx

Could someone confirm something - my boss is trying to say that 29th April (Royal Wedding) is not a bank holiday but just a day to be taken out of normal holidays - Im sure that's not right but if someone could point me to something that I can show her to prove her wrong I would be very grateful!

    Morning ladies!

Not posted for a while. Congrats on the new babies!

Big hugs to those in pain!

And labour vibes to the boldies! :)

Well I am now off for the easter holidays, I'm just working saturday and sunday for the next 2 weeks which is good :)

I dont know why but i'm feeling really down in the dumps today :( just worrying about finances etc. Hopefully MIL's house will be signed over to OH and brother in law within the next week or so, we are having some valuations done this week hoping everything goes smoothly. I know once this is all over we wont need to worry about money anymore but I still worry about now IYKWIM.

Anyways enough misery from me :) i'm 16+3 and my bump is getting bigger which I love! I am still 9lbs lighter than my pre pregnancy weight!!! am still sick pretty much every morning but it usually passes within an hour or so :)

3 weeks on friday til my next scan I am so excited!! i can start buying some bits for baby woooooo

OH's cousins are coming round soon I'm watching them for a couple of hours, they're both 11 and argue and wind each other up eek i'm not gonna take no meesing though!!! i've got them every day this week not all day though just a few hours each day dont think I could cope with full days! lol

Have a good day everyone :) xxx

it is indeed a bank holiday http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/Nl1/Newsroom/DG_192663 and http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/royal-wedding/8154445/Royal-Wedding-four-bank-holidays-in-11-days.html don't let him say otherwise. :)

I'm not sure, I work for the NHS they have said it is not written in our contract to honor this extra bank holiday however we have been given an extra days leave to compensate it. I think the memo said it was at the companies discretion

It is an official extra bank holiday but employees seemingly don't have an automatic right to paid leave on bank holidays seemingly it depends on your contract of employment!! Found this http://www.bytestart.co.uk/content/legal/35_1/royal-wedding-bank-holiday-headache.shtml

There are quite a lot of links like that saying the same thing. Fingers crossed but knowing your history with your employer ........!
