I have an acrobat in my belly today - I just pulled my chair in really close to the desk and baby is kicking it!

It's funny how a little thing can make you happy!

Hehe I love this, my bubs gets really defensive over my belly, something only has to be near me or a bit close and she'll kick it :D

Yikes - just reading back on earlier posts and I see all hell broke loose in here last night- just a matter of time unfortunately.

I for one have been rather shocked by Piggies posts on here in the past though she seemed to surpass herself yesterday but understand she has as much right to post/vent etc... as the next person.
Just doesn't make for nice reading for pregnant hormonal ladies - on the parent thread perhaps it would go down much better?

Anyhow my tuppence worth for what it's worth.

On another note my colleague is wearing very strong perfume today and it is getting right up my nose and is making me sneeze - it hurts! - feels like I've pulled a muscle!

Im really struggling with the weight gain. I have had weight issues in the past. Part of me wants to embrace being pregnant and eat whatever I want but the other part of me doesnt want to be feeling fat and frumpy after baby is born , and end up getting depressed.I'l be 27 weeks on Monday , at what point is it they say you start putting on a pound a week ? ...... Hopefully its much later on

I wish I had your self control :rotfl: I've pretty much allowed myself whatever I've fancied - with some exceptions obviously - chocolate for breakfast lunch and tea with chocolate snacks can't be good for anyone ;) I haven't been exercising as much as I would have liked due to hips and back and I know I'll find it hard going to lose the weight when Creature arrives but I just keep reminding myself that my body is doing something fantastic and amazing - why not make the most of it and enjoy the small pleasures I can!!

Thanks Gbaby and Bella . I havent really weighed myself as I dont really like using scales but I think Ive put on just under a stone. So I suppose another 12lb isnt all that bad , Takes weight gain to just under 2 stone. From what I can remember Gbaby you are similar size to me ? If you cant tell already im just blocking out all other posts ... If they continue I think I might stop posting altogether

    I'm usually a size 8 (weighing just under 8 stone) - I'm only 5 foot 1
By the end of this pregnancy I would guesstimate to be about 10 stone give or take.
With DS I got really bad swelling though (my fingers swelled up like sausages overnight and I had to have my rings cut off my fingers at the jewellers)
I weighed in at nearer 10 and a half at the end of the pregnancy.

Try not to worry about it x

I started a diet end of aug (already preg but didn't know!) and when I found out i was preg i did stop dieting......unfortunatley/fortunatley my extreme feeling sick, hormones or whatever it was made me lose 3 1/2 stone anyway, so I feel i can 'afford' to eat a bit of what i fancy as i still weigh less than i did before lol and it means I haven't had to buy much in the way of maternity clothes, as i'm now fitting in the stuff i shrunk out of lol

Speaking of food, i will be back later-DH is taking me to McDonalds for lunch!!!! Thanks to madbird mentioning it last night!!!!!

Cutteryby I really do want to let go , I have upped my portions , as my usual meals just werent filling me up but when youve had weight issues its hard. Funny thing is Ive nvr been overweight (never been above a size 10) but did get really skinny once and it was utterly depressing , worst months of my life but I did manage to fall pregnant. Every cloud. Hopefully going to IKEA in 2 weeks to get bubs cot, mattress and 2 chests of drawers. Just need to rope OH into coming....

I have no self control whatsoever & so when baby wants mcdonalds I begrudgingly oblige :rotfl: Really though whilst obviously you should try and eat healthily I don't think getting hung up on putting on a certain amount of weight is healthy. Just think of it as your body putting on what it needs to and sometimes it really needs those cream cakes!:D

Galvanizerbaby usually I would be doing exactly as you advised as I did in previous pregnancies (with the exception of the mountain of additional snacks that I was ordered to eat by the medics! :(). But this time round I am suffering from totally unnatural urges to constantly eat chocolate, which is very strange for me as usually I never touch the stuff because I really don't like it.

So instead I have moved all bathroom scales out to the garage and am refusing to be weighed at all and will deal with the consequences when the time comes......or just buy some tents to wear so that I can leave the house after baby is born. :rotfl:

lol! I didn't mean to imply that anybody eating less than perfectly was in the wrong - I love chocolate and have it most days pregnant or not ;)
I wish I could be relaxed about the weight gain thing - truth is my ex husband has given me issues re my weight in pregnancy which makes me feel anxious so I am not the norm :(

I'm in the same boat with the Mcdonalds and general junk. Asked family nurse about it and she said that eating anything is better than nothing. Bearing in mind that a lot of the time the thought of food turns my stomach, I would say that a cheeky mcdonalds is okay. Having to be weighed by midwife though as weight gain still seems to be on pause. :(
