  • How dare you imply that I don't like my children-and if you look back on my previous posts you will see that uring the 'copntraception' discussion a couple of days ago I had actually started what mine and dh's plans were. I'm sure most women here will understand that no matter how difficult a pregnancy is, the end result is more thn worth it. No-one knows how a pregnancy is going to go until it happens-I for one had fairly easy going previous pregnancies that i didn't find anywhere near as difficult as this one-how was I to know that I would find it more difficult this time round??? That is one reason why I am DEFINATLEY NOT having anymore after this one.

I am pleased for you though that you are having an easy pregnancy and really hope this continues throughout for you x

Just realised how many typo's in my post :o hormonal pregnant woman to blame. I really do not want to fall out with anyone, and please can we all be friends???? The world would be a very boring place if we all agreed with each other all the time!!

Im really struggling with the weight gain. I have had weight issues in the past. Part of me wants to embrace being pregnant and eat whatever I want but the other part of me doesnt want to be feeling fat and frumpy after baby is born , and end up getting depressed.I'l be 27 weeks on Monday , at what point is it they say you start putting on a pound a week ? ...... Hopefully its much later on

Try not to worry too much LabLover - easy for me to say because I am similar to you - I fel anxious about how much weight I'm gaining.
I keep thinking I look much fatter in the face from day to day - I am used to be slim and I find it tricky to be bigger.

I am 27 weeks on Sunday and have put on just over 1 stone - I think in the last trimester (which we are approaching ) approx 12lb ish is the norm so that's the pound a week you mentioned I think.

I put on about 2 stone with DD and found that after the birth I weighed about half a stone heavier than my pre pregnancy weight (this half a stone dropped off naturally without dieting btw)

With DS I had the sort of nausea that only goes away when you eat so that's what I did and I found I gained 2 and a half stone but again the weight came off without too much problem.

I know everyones different with weight gain but my advice would be - don't go mad and overeat just cos your pg - eat as you usually would just add something healthy ish for the extra calories if you can - a few treats aren't going to hurt though ;)

some babies dont engage until labour starts so dont feel too bad about only being 2/5ths, it could decide to move down any minute. TBH the later the better in my opinion as if feels like you have a bowling ball waiting to fall out your bits :o

Just keep on walking and bouncing as thats meant to help get it to move.

Thanks Nic, it does feel like that sometimes, its how I imagine that it feels just before your waters go...then nothing lol. Thats reassuring though.

Think its time for a dodgy group hug anyone?:grouphug:

Right, I'm well aware most of you see me as the 'bad guy' - fair enough, yes I haven't posted for a while and then suddenly appear with my big mouth but the reason I posted - which seems to be being completely ignored is -

As far as I'm concerned, there is a huge difference between unloading, having a moan about life and it's general suckiness (definitely should be a word!) and then saying that your children are evil, malicious, horrible etc etc.

For me the latter is shocking - what parent says that about their own child?

That was the point I wanted to make - sorry if that has offended anyone but I won't apologise for my opinion. If you don't like your own children why have any more? There are ways and means and plenty of options that no-one has to be put in a position that they find so utterly distasteful.

Hopefully people will understand me a little better now. I'm not a nasty person and I am sorry that the thread has degenerated into this but sometimes emotive matters come up and you can't help how you feel.

I shan't be replying to that particular matter any more now I've had my say - but I'm afraid you're stuck with me now I'm back :D

I have an acrobat in my belly today - I just pulled my chair in really close to the desk and baby is kicking it!

It's funny how a little thing can make you happy!

Galvanizerbaby usually I would be doing exactly as you advised as I did in previous pregnancies (with the exception of the mountain of additional snacks that I was ordered to eat by the medics! :(). But this time round I am suffering from totally unnatural urges to constantly eat chocolate, which is very strange for me as usually I never touch the stuff because I really don't like it.

So instead I have moved all bathroom scales out to the garage and am refusing to be weighed at all and will deal with the consequences when the time comes......or just buy some tents to wear so that I can leave the house after baby is born. :rotfl:

Thanks Gbaby and Bella . I havent really weighed myself as I dont really like using scales but I think Ive put on just under a stone. So I suppose another 12lb isnt all that bad , Takes weight gain to just under 2 stone. From what I can remember Gbaby you are similar size to me ? If you cant tell already im just blocking out all other posts ... If they continue I think I might stop posting altogether
Thanks to MSE for making it possible for me save to buy my new flat , yay !!
Gorgeous baby boy born 7/7/11 :D
