Morning ducks! Sorry to hear so many of you had rubbish nights - may I recommend 'Nana naps' ? ;)

can we leave this be now please? :)

first of all pigpen, at the moment, isn't here to defend herself and secondly it made it a very hostile, horrible place to be yesterday, this is supposed to be a thread for support but with all the arguing yesterday several post looking for support got somewhat lost in the anger.

    thank you xxx :)

I just had to reply to this to say anyone who posted looking for support last night was answered - several times! I apologised for the atmosphere and replied to both ladies who asked questions - I see your point about the thread not being pleasant but no-one was ignored :)

Good luck to the ladies with scans today!

Can we please stop the ganging up on Pigpen now??? Everyone has different views and opinions, which is fine, and I think Pigpen would have got the message by now that not everyones views are the same as hers. I thought this thread was about supporting one another through what is, for most of us, a massive life changing event-whether this is your first baby or your 10th.

I for one DO feel incredibly, incredibly blessed to be pregnant and am just praying and hoping that in 7 weeks (actually sooner :rotfl:) I have a healthy baby, but I for one have not enjoyed being pregnant. The feeling so sick and tired at the start, being unable to stand cooking a roast dinner for my family, not having the energy to take my kids to the park after school, and now the awful, awful heartburn that keeps me awake, the aching hips, the tiredness (again) I thought this thread was a place to come and offload some of that with people who knew and understood how it felt-obviously I was wrong :(

If you'll read pigpens post you'll see that she can't have any condoms, I don't think its the latex she's allergic to (or I've been reading something that doesn't exist).

I'm quite disgusted that you all feel the need to gang up on her. I think I'll be leaving this thread as I don't want to be around such negativity. Pigpen has given me a lot of support, especially when my waters went and has answered any questions I've had even the stupid ones.

Just goes to show it takes allsorts. The reason I've stayed away from the thread recently is because the negativity on here at the moment surrounding being pregnant, having children etc. Perhaps some others like to read all that sort of stuff.

If you don't like being pregnant/your children, take precautions so you have no more. Simples. :)

That is all I have to say.

    Morning ladies,

    Hope your all ok.

Congrats to Grateful and Coops! That seemed to happen pretty quickly GFH! I guess we should have taken the hint when you said about being told off by a midwife! Glad you got your homebirth though :j

Had my consultant appointment today, they wouldn't give me a sweep as I'm not overdue yet :( They also said baby is still only 2/5 engaged so probably wouldn't help anyway, its totally pathetic but I nearly started crying, had a really carpy nights sleep and I was so convinced that she would be fully engaged as it felt 'different'.

Just so so uncomfortable, completely agree with you though debski, we're very lucky to be on this forum and our babies are little miracles, thought some of the earlier comments on here yesterday were very insensitive as it has taken some of us longer than others to 'graduate' onto here.

Labour vibes to all boldies and all those who are ripe and ready :D

Right, once and for all, from my point of view - I have no interest on 'ganging up' on anyone. However, if you post on an internet forum then you have to expect some people won't agree with you, somthing pigpen didn't seem to like.

No-one that I know on this thread has any problems with the women on here posting about how they are struggling (I've done it myself). What I think a few of us do have a problem with is the manner in which pp was doing this. Spiteful remarks about her children and pregnancy were as far as I'm concerned uncalled for. Quite frankly her responses to some of the opposition were childish and uncalled for, which is why it then went on for a long as it did. We're just as entitled to *our* opinions remember.

Yes this thread, did used to be a nice place, but I'm afraid I have little time for it these days because it's not what it was. And that's nothing to do with what happened last night.

As far as I can see, everyone who posted last night *was* answered. And frankly any division caused has not been helped by the 12-24 week thread.

Anyway, that's my last word on the matter.

How dare you imply that I don't like my children-and if you look back on my previous posts you will see that uring the 'copntraception' discussion a couple of days ago I had actually started what mine and dh's plans were. I'm sure most women here will understand that no matter how difficult a pregnancy is, the end result is more thn worth it. No-one knows how a pregnancy is going to go until it happens-I for one had fairly easy going previous pregnancies that i didn't find anywhere near as difficult as this one-how was I to know that I would find it more difficult this time round??? That is one reason why I am DEFINATLEY NOT having anymore after this one.

I am pleased for you though that you are having an easy pregnancy and really hope this continues throughout for you x

Im really struggling with the weight gain. I have had weight issues in the past. Part of me wants to embrace being pregnant and eat whatever I want but the other part of me doesnt want to be feeling fat and frumpy after baby is born , and end up getting depressed.I'l be 27 weeks on Monday , at what point is it they say you start putting on a pound a week ? ...... Hopefully its much later on

Try not to think about it hun, I was weighing myself all the time in my 2nd tri, last time I checked (about 4 weeks ago or so) I'd put on 2 stone, I stopped weighing myself as I know there's nothing I can do now (especially with SPD), it feels like I havn't put on so much in the last few weeks though (which is when I think you are supposed to), its different for everyone. Just think about the walks that you'll be able to take with LO once they're here :)

For the record, that was not what I implied.

some babies dont engage until labour starts so dont feel too bad about only being 2/5ths, it could decide to move down any minute. TBH the later the better in my opinion as if feels like you have a bowling ball waiting to fall out your bits :o

Just keep on walking and bouncing as thats meant to help get it to move.
