Can you edit your post and remove the quote marks? That'll take the list out of the box - otherwise no one will be able to quote that one xx:)

Non-pregnant lurker/former ultrasound administrator: For a standard pelvic ultrasound, the bladder needs to be fairly full. 1-1.5l of water is ample and it takes about 20-25 minutes for it to get from your mouth into your bladder. So grab a big (2l) bottle of water, pee half an hour before your appointment, and take the bottle with you. Aim to be halfway down it by 20 minutes before and you'll be grand.

Best of luck to all the scanning ladies tomorrow and anyone who's near the top of the list or seeking any kind of hug or vibes or anything.

The taxes you pay now go into the system now, the government doesn't have a big bank account and a tally of how much everyone pays.. it is spent immediately... and I'd wager what you pay in tax you more than get back in tax credits, child benefit or doesn't that count? No, I didn't think so.

Wouldnt that be nice, highly unlikely in most people's cases.

£120 every 4 weeks (for TC and CHB) roughly doesnt even come close to what OH and I Pay in taxes :rotfl:

    Morning ladies

well I had the worst sleep ever. I was awake from 2 til 5am. My hips were achey adn i couldnt drop back off. i ended up on teh couch watching Supernanny.

Its the last day of school today, the kids are super excited.
They get to wear something red and white to raise funds for Japan, and are having a treasure hunt.

But DD knows the Easter Hols means the baby is coming. She doesnt understand its the end of the month, as for the last 7 months ive been telling her the baby is coming in the Easter holidays lol.

Goodluck for any 20w scans today and sending vibes to PC andother boldies.

My GP refused to give me contraception back in December.. and I was refused a termination with this one, I was going to go ahead with one without even telling OH about the pregnancy.. so unless I miscarry I am stuck with it.. given what some of you have gone through to get pregnant in the first place I felt it best to keep that to myself.. but seeing as you asked.

They sell condoms at the chemist you know.

Doglover - good luck for the scan today.

GFH - congrats on the arrival of baby Thomas - birth story sounded great!!

Sorry I've not been on for a while ladies, can't be doing with how the thread is becoming almost dominated with whinging about how awful children can be and how rubbish being pregnant is. I for one feel blessed to be pregnant, shame we're not all here for the same reason.

Anyway, 15+6 for me today - bump is forming nicely and I have my 16 week M/W appointment on Monday. Finally another milestone to tick off!!

    xDx
