mrsspendalot wrote: »I really worried about losing my baby weight after #3 but he was the easiest one to shed weight with, probably because I breastfed. It dropped off. I was below my pre-pregnancy weight within about 4 weeks, and back in my pre-preg jeans within about 1 week of giving birth (I just looked like I had a boob job instead :rotfl:) I never really worried about how much weight I put on in any of my pregnancies, because it does go after.
I am, however, concerned at how big I am at the moment. I'm 27 weeks tomorrow and I weigh 13 stone already  (normally 11ish, but like being 10st 7 ideally). I have never got to 13 stone pregnant before, even at full term. I'm starting to wonder how much bigger I'm going to get!
I'm not over eating, but I'm not being careful either. If I fancy 2 Mars Bars, I'm eating them. If I only want a couple of crackers for lunch, then that's fine too and I'm not going to force a big meal down for the sake of it.
I hope no one confused my post last night about my DS1 being difficult as me moaning about my children, I was just trying to say that sometimes however much we love our children they can be really hard work. I absolutely adore my children (even on the difficult days), I feel very very lucky to have 3 wonderful, healthy children, and another one on the way. I also consider myself very lucky to be able to fall pregnant at the click of my fingers when some couples take months if not years to fall. I have moaned about SPD making my pregnancy miserable, and I'm not going to deny that it does, but it is well worth it for the reward at the end.
Bump is currently doing somersaults in there, very uncomfortable!
Just a question .... I always understood that the 3rd trimester started at 27 weeks .... but I was browsing the internet and some sites say it doesn't start until 29 weeks. What is your understanding of it???[/QUOTE]
I thought same as you - 27 weeks - perhaps they've changed it! lol! :rotfl:0 -
I've put just under 4 stone on:eek::eek::j:jOur gorgeous baby boy born 2nd May 2011 - 12 days overdue!!:j:j0

I didn't get to do the breast feeding weight loss thing last time round as I was strongly advised against it on medical grounds and it is looking like the same advice will most probably be given again this time round too so I just need to walk for miles and miles again every day so had to buy a pram with wheels made for walking!

snap! I hate McD's the smell turns my stomach. i dont mind the odd milkshake but I hate their burgers etc. The kids arent fussed either.
I do like KFC though. and the kids like their popcorn chicken.
But I stay 30 miles from the nearest fast food outlet. So ive saved on pennies and lbs lol
They opened a KFC 10 mins walk from me last year! - fatal for me0 -
Ooh I love spicy food - that's been my main craving I think actually - Curry. Used to eat it quite rarely before becoming pregnant but it's now turned into at least once a week!
Nic Zumba sounds ideal to me. I hate the gym and usually ended up in the gym for 15 mins, then an hour of sauna, steam room and jacuzzi!

Great to see you back Cutterby, how have you been?
The thread got quite quiet once MV, RBG, Giz,sharkey etc all graduated.
Its good to see more people posting here.
Well I'm glad someone noticed my return - was wondering where the welcome back party wasAh I'm not too bad, the usual you know! Although I was a bit of a diva this morning, Hubs got home from work and had barely taken his coat off before I thrust my neck at him demanding he feel my glands - poor man must have thought it was his lucky day til he realised what was going on
. I've got a bit of a cold but my throat and chest started burning last night and were worse this morning so I rang the docs on the off chance they could see me today, they said go straight in so we dropped Moo off at breakfast club (wonderful invention!) and went to see the lovely nurse who gave me anti-biotics and a stern talking to on the importance of rest and letting other people look after me.. Well I did let Hubs run me a bath yesterday and stayed at home while he went and picked Moo up from school - that's about as much [STRIKE]being lazy[/STRIKE] resting as I can bear!
How're things with you? You're due not long after me aren't you? x

I never managed to successfully breastfeed either DS or DD for very long so hopefully I'll do better this time around - I'm not going to beat myself up about it though.
Re the weightloss while breastfeeding - some mum's I've spoken to found they lost weight quicker while others found the opposite as they were eating more and it kept the pg hormones going for longer.
I am really looking forward to walking with my new pramcan't wait!

Hmmm .... confusing isn't it. I think I'll go with 27 weeks anyway, as then I can say I'm in my 3rd trimester ... it's like another milestone reached, getting closer to D Day!!! :rotfl:Olympic Countdown Challenge #145 ~ DFW Nerd #389 ~ Debt Free Date: [STRIKE]December 2015[/STRIKE] September 2015
