Unfortunately my GTT is at the hospital antenatal unit so I won;t be allowed to leave during the 2 hours. I will just have to take a book or magazines with me and wait it out

Is it common for BH's to be around every hour? I'm only 34 weeks and this is getting painful nowBeautiful Baby Boy born 28 April 20110

GFH - What twinges have you been getting? Do you think things are moving? And yes, you have my permission to slap the moody midwife. I did hit the other midwife in the face with the gas and air pump though........unintentionally - flipping pethadine's fault lol.0

Well... i've been working. But I work from home so it's not exactly hectic. A lot of the time i've had my feet up. I just went to do the school run and it feels like my guts are going to fall out.

Well, I had my 25 wk appointment with the midwife this morning (although it was not my usual midwife). Everything fine with baby, heartbeat fine and measurements all ok. BP was good too. Unfortunately, I mentioned that my dad had recently been diagnosed with diabetes so I now have to go for a Glucose Tolerance Test at 28 weeks. Means starvation from the night before. She took bloods this morning too as I had glucose in my sample (probably all those sweets I've been eating!!) and I have to have more bloods done before I can have my anti-d injection.
Good job I'm not scared of needles at least!!
Emma
I'm having this GTT test too now - my consultant says it's routine - haven't had it with any of my other pregnancies - not looking forward to it.
I've got my 25 week appointment with the midwife on Thursday but like you I've got to have more bloods taken before I have another anti d injection.
Congrats to all the new mummies :j Hope to see some piccies soon.
Baby appears to have gone in to overdrive and is moving about an awful lot now - it is very uncomfortable and bordering on sore - I think there is less and less room now and she is getting bigger and bigger.
I don't remember being this uncomfortable with the other 2 so early on but perhaps it was all so long ago now I've forgotten0 -
The GTT isn't routine here.. might just be for that 1 GP... seems a strange thing to put people through without a reason to think it might be an issue.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0

Husband came in the room and was like "flaming hell..." and I was like "yeah I know" he didnt even have to explain what he meant lol.
I was also shocked at the baby's dad saying baby had yellow nails because they smoke! I didnt know that kind of thing happened!
Me too!
I recall seeing a programme on TV a while back about kids that syphon? spelling! petrol out of cars to sell on - they basically suck it up a tube - they had teeth like her so was wondering if that's what she'd been up to?!0
