Well, I had my 25 wk appointment with the midwife this morning (although it was not my usual midwife). Everything fine with baby, heartbeat fine and measurements all ok. BP was good too. Unfortunately, I mentioned that my dad had recently been diagnosed with diabetes so I now have to go for a Glucose Tolerance Test at 28 weeks. Means starvation from the night before. She took bloods this morning too as I had glucose in my sample (probably all those sweets I've been eating!!) and I have to have more bloods done before I can have my anti-d injection.

Good job I'm not scared of needles at least!!

Brednall my mum had diabetes when she was pregnant with my sister , so I need to have a GTT aswell , I go in 2 weeks time. No eating from midnight , then my first appointment is at nine , and second at eleven, but im not allowed to leave the surgery in the two hour gap :( Apparantly they like to keep an eye on you incase you pass out from lack of food etc. Im going to take a massive packed lunch with me , so after 11 I can just eat mmmmmm Long time to go without food especially when youre pregnant , I think its cruel :p
Thanks to MSE for making it possible for me save to buy my new flat , yay !!

    Afternoon ladies :D

Firstly good luck to Coops, hope it all goes well today!

Lovely birth story Sammy, nice one for getting out so early!!

Oh it's such a beautiful day here now, just a shame I'm in work LOL!!

Had consultant today so everything looking fine, he is very happy with things, BP very good which is one if the main things!!

Had a growth scan while there, so baby is going up the same line as before which I was pleased about (lol its still the 95th centile like - but not going above it !!!!) and it's rough weight at the mo is about 6.5lbs :rotfl:god I still have 4 1/2 weeks to go!! I am actually not concerened as I'm sure DD weighed more than that at this point and she was a nice weight. I was very concerned that this one would be bigger but so far it doesn't look all that likely :)

Grateful fingers crossed that something starts happening for you soon!

Don't know what's wrong with me today - I can barely keep my eyes open - I wonder if anyone would notice if I had a quick nap on my desk?:p

Let's hope they give you lucozade and not the powder stirred into water, made me heave!

My surgery let me go as long as I promised not to do anything strenuous...not much chance of that!!

Apricot Im the same , I think its cause Im nice and warm and the sun is beaming in through window. Only thing thats keeping me awake is the dreaded heartburn , not had it any ages , only had a cheese and tomato roll. How can that give you heartburn? lol
