thanks, - have tried all that PP..... he does have his own account (plus me mine and the joint for bills) but he won't put his money in his because he'd "spend it"..... he WAS being really good but now just seems to take the money all the time and doesn't care!! (plus he forgets he never opens his mail so a month later when i am doing the paperwork i open his bank statments and see just how often he goes into unplanned overdraft and costs us £25!) I have started marking on my finance ss now EVERY time he takes money out and how much over and above his £40/ week so I can confront him with it to try and prove a point. but then he just has a hissy fit at me.

am sure he said last week he wanted to go to the pub this Thursday...... well he's gonna get a shock thursday monring when I remind him it is my work leaving do and infact he is home alone with his son all night...... last time i had a night out was my work xmas do..... at the beginning of december!

I'd just like - just once - for him to say "x is going to babysit on saturday so i can take you out for a meal" OR "i saw these flowers on the way home so bught them for you".... but no not ONCE in our 4 years together has this EVER happened!!! and the last time i mentioned it........ I got the following response "what's the point - you'd only throw it in my face for wasting money!"

On the subject of nappies.. how many packs do you need in each size? As like an estimate lol. I havent bought any so far and not sure how many I will need!

I have approx 10 packs (of 27 nappies) size 1 - this may be too many but Boots will exchange for the next size up without a receipt so shouldn't be a problem (most of those are from free vouchers and things anyway so haven't actually cost me) - im probably going for 10 packs of each size at the moment.

chicky could you take his bankcard off him and dole out the £40 a week like pocket money?. My OH has never upped and taken me out or bought me flowers.. not even when our daughter was born.. though then I did get a 'you did good today' ... at least it was some kind of acknowledgement.

might have to at this rate!! :D i got told "i would have got you flowers (when DS was born) but i didn't see anywhere that sold any!"............. hmmm strange when you went into town to get me subway and went to mothercare with your mate so he could buy DS a pressie... that requires walking past at least 3 supermarkets that stock them!!

  • oh and hes STILLLLLL smoking and has no intention of giving up despite promising me when i got pg again (yes he made same promise with DS1) he'd stop.

Exactly the same with mine, I laid it on thick (for his own good) I told him he will die of cancer in the next 20 years and it will be a long agonising death and did he want his children to watch it, and gave him some patches and an electronic ciggarette that was 8 days ago and he hasn't had one since then, early days but fingers crossed. He has reported that the e-cigarette is very good (£6.20 from Amazon with charger and 10 cartridges).

tried the guilt trip.... bought him the patches.... he used 1.... but managed to give up without them for about 3 months......... and is now back to smoking more then before he gave up.
