I was terribly worried I wouldn't love DD1 as much as the dog...

My little dog just did his first guard dog bit by barking when a leaflet dropper was cramming something into our letter box. Bless, it was so cute.

I like the idea of the love stretching, it sounds nice too

I am sorry to say Digital that I am prob one of those people with an easy pregnancy. Have felt pretty good most the way through and haven't even reached the tired stage yet! I do have my bad nights sleep and things though so not all good.

I've started getting hip pain when I walk - is that likely to be baby related?

Careful hun. My SPD started like this. We used to go on weekly, sometimes twice weekly, walks of over an hour. Used to get a pain in my hip by the end, then started hurting at night. The progressed to feeling like I'd pulled loads of muscles in my groin. Then turned into SPD, and now it is agony everywhere I walk (just around the house, up the stairs etc). I don't want to scare you, and it may just be sciatica, which again is painful but not half as bad. Just wanted to warn you. I'd go easy on the walks as not sure if this is what made my SPD come about or if I was just destined to get it anyway.

I have managed to update Boots and Tesco which have sent me vouchers (Including one for another free changing bag from Boots when I buy some nappies but don't think I really need two - lol)

I don't get it! I have joined the parenting club twice now but never get anything in the post from them, no vouchers or anything. It didn't even work online when someone else gave me a voucher code. Can't seem to get that damn bag! :rotfl: And you get offered a second one :rotfl:

He's only a spaniel so not really known for his child eating habits.

I grew up with a Cavvy spaniel and a Labrador, and you just cannot get softer dogs. We then had a Beagle, again a softy.

It's rubbish to suggest you should get rid of a dog because you're having a baby! If anyone 'suggested' I get rid of any of my pets they'd get a mouthful, I can tell you

Thanks for the warning digi. DH has been great with dog walking but I traipsed round the shops for about 4 hours at tge weekend so I guess that won't have helped. I work on the top floor of a big building with no lift!!

I'll see how it goes and probably come on here and moan! Apricot put some good suggestions on the 12 - 24 week thread about how to manage it. It seems like everyone over there has pain of some sort now we've all started confessing!! I think it might be my punishment for having no sickness.

I grew up with labs and I really loved them. We had cats, rabbits, hamsters, horses and others! I'd love my child to have at least some of what I had.

I'm surprised how quickly it seems to be going now. I can still remember the (first) test day as though it was yesterday and I'm already approaching half way!

Dig, I phoned boots advantage card line and asked about their parenting club. They were really helpful and (sorry!) I've already got the bag. I'd ring them

Oh no, selective hearing must be a symptom of being 9 months old!! He he!!

and of being 2 1/2, unless the word biscuit is mentioned!

i have a TMI question, so if you don't want to know look away.

i've been getting alot of vaginal discharge - which i know is very normal in pregnancy, but the last few days this seems to have lessened quite a bit, although there seems to be more in the evenings. is this ok or should i be worried about it? :o also had some mild lower tummy achiness for about the same amount of time.
