Do you think this is the norm? I'm pretty positive I'm carrying another biggy (not as big as your first though!!) so it's just something for me to be aware of 'just in case'!
Sorry should have mentioned that its also because I had an unsuccessful ECV at 36 weeks last time and have since had a C section. Apparently if it fails once it is more likely to fail again, but there is also the added risk of uterine rupture due to me having had a Csection within the last 22 months. So I would have been high risk, with the probability of needing an immeadiate C section after they attempt ECV. They did say that I could try but they didnt hold much hope, so I decided to just have the C section on a date that suits me and I can plan DD's child care etc.GarnetLady wrote: »Ooh, how exciting tickle, not long to go!

I was fuming, and quite upset, as this came after lots of digs about the fact that because I had chosen to breastfeed, I was depriving everyone else the opportunity to give the baby bottles (I bottle fed my previous 2). I didn't visit that weekend.
You can't do anything right can you. They moan when you don't breastfeed, they moan when you do!0 -
SmlSave if he comes to visit you and you need to BF in your own home tell him if he doesn't like it to leave the room and go elsewhere
No worries there as they live in USA.I'm glad to hear that you're of the same opinion as me. The thing that gets me is SIL knows her own mind and can be very stubborn but when her family start saying stuff (for example - you can't call your child that and how dare you give your child a dummy etc) she just rolls over. *rolls eyes*

Yeah that's how I felt, especially when I first started B/F'ing, it was me that had the probelm, nobody else did. I soon got over my shyness though (ahem not that I was whapping them out left right and centre LOL
:D)
lol! :rotfl:Teenie - I am hoping I will be the same this time (not that anybody particularly commented on it - just that I was crap at it)
I've seen those breastfeeding shawls so may invest in one of those which may help
One of my friends found that she could only successfully breastfeed lying down so whenever she was visiting she had to borrow the bedroom - I am not sure what she did when out and about though?!0 -

She just moaned about me full-stop though. I seem to have a curse with MILs .... my last one was horrid and made no secret of the fact she couldn't stand me, and my current one is no better! I made a promise to myself never to treat any partner of my sons the way I have been treated by my MILs!Olympic Countdown Challenge #145 ~ DFW Nerd #389 ~ Debt Free Date: [STRIKE]December 2015[/STRIKE] September 2015

Ours are currently in the corner of our kitchen and I thought a baby gate up at the door would solve the problem but OH wonders if the cats will work out how to climb over it to get in there.
Won't the cats be able to squeeze through the bars of the gate to get in/out of the kitchen?
Forgot to multi quote as I was catching up so from memory...
Dogs going into kennels for the birth - how will you know when to book them in for (unless you have a definite birth date of course!) as you wouldn't know when baby will be coming? Could potentially be 2 weeks late.
Breastfeeding with others in the room - I had someone comment on this when I had DS, something along the lines of shouldn't I go upstairs and do it when we have visitors - and my response was, it's my house so I'll feed where I like thanks, if you have a problem perhaps YOU could go upstairs!
MIL turning up at the hospital when in labour - This happened to me, and they live 3 hours away! Went in to be induced and they must have started driving down at that point, I had been not long into REALLY painful and close together contractions and realising the gas and air wasn't doing anything for me, when a midwife came in and announced that MIL & FIL were there and could DH please tell them to go away (lol, there was a strict no visitors on delivery suite rule and they were insisting they come in having driven so far and had nowhere else to go). I could barely speak through the pain but managed to growl at DH to tell them to 'F*** off and only come back when I say I wanted visitors'. Felt so bad afterwards!
Oh and (think it was Pixiepops?) on newborn / 0-3 months sizing for sleepsuits etc, you will find that it will specify what weight it is aimed at (different shops have different weights) and the newborn ones are smaller than 0-3. Some babies come out fitting 0-3 already, some will need newborn, depends on the length really. I am taking 1 of each in my bag, so will definitely have something to fit baby.
Think that was all...0 -

Good luck Tickle - you are in the same situation to that which I was in with DS and then DD.
I found it really useful having a date, especially when it comes to planning childcare as you say0 -

In the early days, I could only manage breastfeeding using a V pillow round my front to rest the baby on to raise them to a comfortable height. I can't remember how I managed anywhere other than home!!!Olympic Countdown Challenge #145 ~ DFW Nerd #389 ~ Debt Free Date: [STRIKE]December 2015[/STRIKE] September 2015

Afternoon ladies and bumps!
I've just been catching up. Have to say I was also wondering about when to vaseline baby's bottom. As for the bodysuit/sleepsuit thing, I'm also clueless. Also, should I bother buying them in newborn size or should I just get 0-3 months? Just I'd imagine that 0 months is newborn?! Oh dear, I really don't know.
Ive got a few newborn and 0-3 months. Both DD and DS were 8lb 3 and 8lb4. the 0-3 was far too big and flapping about at the feet. I hadnt bought any for DD and was so glad when my MIl came up with 3 newborn outfits that night. She only wore them 2 weeks though
i think unless you know you are having a tiny baby or an over 10lb one then id buy a pack of newborn and 0-3. Im talking about babygrows/sleepsuits that have feet in them. If they didnt have feet then you could always roll them up.
im off to dry my hair. i bought a Garnier hair dye in light blonde and its came out ginger  usually my sister who is a hairdresser does my hair for £15. but I cant afford £60 to go and get a cut and colour. im a bit brassed off (get it?) with the colour. Nevermind, ill just pretend thats the colour I meant it too be lol:santa2::xmastree::santa2:0 -
