  • ((HUGS)) DP, it is awful to lose a pet.

Dusty - Re cots missing bolts, if you ring a customer service department and tell them that you have been given a cot that is missing bolts etc they should be able to send you spares. I bought DD's cot for £7.99 from a charity shop, found out that it was from east coast nursery and asked them to send me some spares :D Also Ikea has spare fixings and bolts in their customer service/returns department.

And I cant remember who said but definitely have baby oil/vaseline to hand when babies first nappy is being put on. If the poop before the nappy goes on it wont stick but if the nappy is on it is great fun removing tar lol.

Had my Consultants appointment today and scan. Scan estimates fetal weight at 7lbs6oz as of today (37weeks2days) with an estimated birth weight of 9lb.... but they said that for DD and she was 10lb3oz :rotfl: so we will see. Baby is still breech and due to his size they have said they dont want to try an ECV so I am now booked in for a Csection 22/02/11 :D So unless baby decides to make an early exit that will be his birthday. Off to amend EDD list :D

Cant remember who else has doggies :wall: and they were going to maybe put them in kennels. I cant put my little girl in kennels cause she associates it with the rescue centre and gets very upset:( So OH plans on taking the dog to his dads when things kick off , cant say Im pleased because then my MIL will know im in labour and will probs turn up at the hospital. Actually considering her lack of interest so far she might not be bothered her back side and we will no doubt need to take baby to see her. Oh the joys
Thanks to MSE for making it possible for me save to buy my new flat , yay !!
Gorgeous baby boy born 7/7/11 :D

Madbird/Apricot - I also have two cats and will be getting a Feliway refill when baby comes.

What is a Feliway refill? i've just had a look on google and  at the prices. Our eldest cat has taken to doing his business in the corner of the living room lately (no idea why) and I wonder if this plugged in that corner may deter him?

Also, for those of us with cats, what are you doinng re: litter trays once bubs becomes mobile? Ours are currently in the corner of our kitchen and I thought a baby gate up at the door would solve the problem but OH wonders if the cats will work out how to climb over it to get in there.
I've brought one of those special long pillows as I'm waking up in pain after lying on one side and then the other - haven't noticed much improvement yet and the pillow is taller than me so struggle to actually keep it in the bed with me :D

I've got one of those too, I bought it when I was sleeping fine (and still am) so haven't really had cause to use it just yet but I'm confused as to what I'm supposed to do with it. Are you supposed to put your leg over it, or actually try and sleep on it? which I can see me rolling off.

Thanks Tickle - I'm heading near a M+P at weekend so I'll take them in with me then and see if they have any spares in shop. If not i'll try and ring CS. thanks for the tip :)

Do you think this is the norm? I'm pretty positive I'm carrying another biggy (not as big as your first though!!) so it's just something for me to be aware of 'just in case'!

Doh sorry quoted that wrong for some reason, the only bit I meant to bold was the ECV bit!

I get to see bubs on Thursday at my next scan :D Am all excited. I can feel him/her move really clearly now and DH felt a kick this weekend :j

MIL came back from visiting SIL with new baby and god, am I glad I don't have her family! Apparently she's not allowed to BF when her father's in the room as he gets embarressed, now I know what my response to this would be - what would yours be?
Currently studying for a Diploma - wish me luck :)

You and me both on the confusion front Dusty :rotfl:
I have been sleeping with an ordinary pillow between my legs as I'm getting sciatic type pain from lying on either side a while and waking up in agony - then it takes a while to wear off
I tried putting the large long pillow between my legs but it didn't seem to support my bump very well and it's rather large in general - not very comfy! - think maybe you are right and your supposed to try and sleep on it but I would just keep rolling off too I think.

I had this pain in both my other pregnancies so just hoping it doesn't get too bad this time.
