hello bumps

i'm still in hospital. bled too much so having a transfusion. only just found out that there is free internet here!

we had a girl, madeleine, 6lb 9oz, 00:04, 6th feb.

i used tens and when i got to hosp i was 8cm! i got my pool birth and it was just amazing. used gas and air too.

i will try and read back now.

thanks for the cat advice ladies, re: squeezing through bars, the older one will do but the younger one is that fat he won't fit . I figured if the older one had even more reason to do his doo out of the litter tray then he will. Will see how we get one once we need to think about it anyway.

Re: breastfeeding, OH is also uncomfortable with me doing it in public. i think he thinks I'll be wapping my baps out everywhere. I tried to explain I don't really want everyone in Tesco staring at my bo obs and so will be doing it discretely but I he still doesn't understand. He has a serious issue with me doing it in front of his friends.
I hope once the time comes he will realise how easy and discreet it can be (if I manage it) but until then it is his issue and I won't be staying in all bl00dy day cos he doesn't want me to feed in public.

I was at my MILs on saturday and the BIL was there too who is booked in to take us to hospital. I said if OH was at work then I might just ask him to meet me and BIL at the hospital rather than come home, to which the MIL chipped in and said 'well I'll be there too'. And I was like WHAT!!!!!
I left it as that but I have told OH under no uncertain terms is she coming with us (as much as I like her, I want my own Mum there). Plus I can see a battle on my hands trying to keep the majority of his family away for the first few days (obvs his mum is welcome) but his sister would be there 24 hours a day if she had her choice. And she will be one of the first to know as it is her OH taking us to hosp. I hope she doesn't think she is coming with us too - there won;t be any room in the car for me at this rate

jojo that is adorable, hard to believe a mini person will be in there soon!

Tbh Im dreading MIL in the early days as this is the only thing to do with OH that she has ever really shown any interest in really and so he is eager to please! She's booked to go on holiday the end of August so we will have a two week reprieve then but I really don't want the early days to be all about her IYSWIM?

Just tried to book my 16 week midwife appointment (I will be 16 weeks this wednesday) the earliest available appointment is 2nd March! So my 16 week appointment I will be 19 weeks exactly.

Congrats Giz and boo to you still being in hospital but yay to free internet and you being able to let us know about Madeleine....can't wait to see piccies hehe

Can you have it that late Apricot , cause they do the triple blood test for downs and ive forgotten the other two and it needs to be done at a certain time. It may be up untill 19 weeks , or I may be talking out my bottom, lol xx

Ah thanks ladies. Its the Saplings Katie Crib. I got it form Boots when it had 20% off....just noticed its on offer agian, although oos. The instructions were crap, but i figured it out (watch it fall apart now). Its foldable too tho, so can be used when visiting people
