My OH said " do you think you'll get to keep your boobs once the baby is born?" Lol
My OH was wondering the same and is apparently 'delighted' at the prospect. I'm not as they were rather big before and just seemed to cause me extra hassle.A-Z Challenge: ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ

I belong to the parenting club and tried to order the bag and it seemed to accept the code but wouldn't take the cost off so I didn't go ahead with the purchase
Noooo I didn't do that  B£gger! I stupidly thought I just had to add the code. How stupid. Oh well, I will ring them in a bit and try and get something sorted out. If they won't let me have it this time, then I'll get another pack of nappies in store once they send the damn voucher out. Or maybe I'll just get fed up with it and OH can use my girlie bag if he has bubs on his own???!!! I like the idea of a second bag as could leave that one at grandparents when they have baby.
God I wish pregnancy wouldn't make me so damned thick :rotfl:dustystar02 wrote: »What is a Feliway refill? i've just had a look on google and  at the prices. Our eldest cat has taken to doing his business in the corner of the living room lately (no idea why) and I wonder if this plugged in that corner may deter him?
Also, for those of us with cats, what are you doinng re: litter trays once bubs becomes mobile? Ours are currently in the corner of our kitchen and I thought a baby gate up at the door would solve the problem but OH wonders if the cats will work out how to climb over it to get in there.
A Feliway refill is a refill for the diffuserBasically it plugs in like an air freshener and releases cat-friendly pheromones that only cats can smell, and it makes them feel at ease. You know they go around rubbing their faces on things? That's why they do it, as it leaves their pheromones on things. My boy cat went through a phase of weeing on his bed and being an all round pain, and it did help. I would recommend trying it. It is quite expensive though - my diffuser and refill was about £26 from my vets, though can probs get it cheaper online. I will get a refill online for when we move.
Not to sure about the litter box. Ours is hooded, so keeps most of the stuff inside, unless one of them hoofs stuff out. We're moving so no idea where the litter box is going to go, will have to look at that problem when it comes. Maybe a curtain or something may help. OH mentioned the boy putting cat litter in his mouth and I must admit it hadn't occurred to me but really grossed me out, so will look into it.hello bumps
i'm still in hospital. bled too much so having a transfusion. only just found out that there is free internet here!
we had a girl, madeleine, 6lb 9oz, 00:04, 6th feb.
i used tens and when i got to hosp i was 8cm! i got my pool birth and it was just amazing. used gas and air too.
i will try and read back now.
Congratulations hun! Lovely name, looking forward to a piccie. Sounds like you had a good birth - I'll have one like yours please
Sharkey/Charlie - glad your hospital visits have had good outcomes! Excellent stuff x
Regarding breastfeeding, I am not going to be doing it in public or around anyone apart from OH. Simply do not feel comfortable about the idea of it. Could change my mind though. Fully intend to express and keep some bottles of milk ready for outings/visitors. Oh, I have a question - how long will expressed milk be OK in the fridge and freezer for?
I hope I get to keep my pregnancy boobs. Was a 34C before, now a 36D, and would like to stay that way please!
hngry - thanks for the heads up, won't be buying my cellulars from Mothercare then. Hoovering bubs sounds interesting though :rotfl:0 -
I always wanted bigger bazoomers, as I was never terribly well endowed. Now I've got them I want my old ones back. I hope mine shrink back down.If having different experiences, thoughts and ideas to you, or having an opinion that you don't understand, makes me a troll, then I am proud to be a 100% crying, talking, sleeping, walking, living Troll. :hello:0

My OH asked exactly the same thing lol!
I told him today that at the antenatal class they said that after a couple of days you wake up with massive Jordan boobs and he was like wayhay. I said believe me you will not want to be going there two days after i have given birth :rotfl:
Noooo - from memory they can also be quite leaky - I recall waking up with my chin in a puddle on more than one occasion
Certainly not very sexy :eek:0 -
Digital - today they told us you can keep expressed milk in firdge for 5 days and freezer for 6 months!0

LOL Dusty - you could get taxi to drop you and OH off at a different hospital so you could have a nice quiet time of it!!
We are having strict visiting rules at the house when baby arrives. No more than 2 at once and only for a couple of hours in the evening - don't want to repeat SIL's experience of about 16 people at the in laws all wanting a cuddle when baby was about 2 weeks old!! I'm even getting OH to make me a sign for the door telling people to go awayIt would be my worst nightmare people turning up at the hospital when I'm in labour, ideally I'd just like OH there but have asked my mum to be backup in case we need her!!
Forgot to say Congrats GizHope she was worth missing your party for
I was thinking of getting an appointment system going.....:rotfl:
But seriously, the first week OH is off with me and I know we will be crazy so I don't want to see anyone in the first week (other than my mum and his mum who are more than welcome to come and cook/clean for us). Then I think we will open upto visitors prior to them booking in first. There's lots of bank holidays in April so i'm hoping to get out and about so I can visit people myself - then leave when i've had enough.

Thanks hun, will have to make a note of that! I thought it would be Ok for around a week in the fridge, but 6 months in freezer? Wow!
Do you know if the Tommee Tippee bottles are OK to go in the freezer, or is it better to get some other container to put the milk in for the freezer?0 -

That's what I'm worried about, as then I'll have to be getting my b00bs out :rotfl:0 -

I'm not even going to bother trying to express this time - took far too long last time to get a decent amount out, just not worth the hassle!Olympic Countdown Challenge #145 ~ DFW Nerd #389 ~ Debt Free Date: [STRIKE]December 2015[/STRIKE] September 2015
