Curry tonight - I asked them to make it extra hot as am on a mission to evict before my consultant app on Mon where I may have the option of electing for a CS because of previous birth complications. Anyone have any opinions on ECS?

  • Waterbaby - you don't have a symbol by your name do you know what your having?

I feel no closer to giving birth than I did 2 months ago :(. Friend asked me if I was more or less nervous than the first time, I answered that the first time I was of course nervous but had the luxury of naivety and believed that maybe it doesn't hurt that much and isn't so bad. I unfortunately don't have that this time:rotfl::eek:

*De-lurking* I've only had one by CS after failed induction (on birth stories) but it was great. Would totally recommend it.

I had emergency c-section (after 20 hours ) with ds 1 because i was dilating and he was getting distressed, and with ds 2, again i didnt dilate but he was doing fine, so they gave me syntocinon to help things along, and it got me from 4cm-10 in 50mins but my contractions were still really far apart and not very strong (so they tell me, but what do they know cos they bl00dy well hurt!!!) and after an hour of pushing he wasn't going anywhere so I needed forceps .
I have requested a planned c-section this time, but at my first appointment with the consultant he wasnt keen, but i will push for it again at my next appointment with him in a couple of weeks. I would much rather have that, than go through all the pain and stress of labour for things to go wrong again, but thats just me! Alot of people who have had planned sections have recovered fairly quickly and had no major problems
At the end of the day, it is your decision-if you dont want it, dont be pushed in to it! xx

Congrats to Kaylzbob, DM and JoJo! (Lovely pic JoJo :))

    Labour vibes to Waterbaby

Bella I have the quinny buzz! I got it from a friend, bought the carrycot from boots and love it! Only had a chance to play around with it but I've heard really good things about it.

Went to the South-West baby show in Bournemouth today, nothing groundbreaking but a nice day out :o

One of my friends threw me a baby shower last night, had a really nice time, they all said some really nice things etc, and had bought some lovely gifts (not expected AT all, they were all mainly from work and work had already spoilt us), normally I would have blubbed for Britain at this, but apparently my hormones are working the other way too,I wasn't even slightly teary! Must have looked like a right heartless cow :(

Can't believe I'm in the top 10 now (excluding the boldies), slightly terrified but can't wait to meet our daughter at the same time. Feeling rubbish at the mo though, SPD still means I can't go for walks etc and can't get comfortable in general :( Sorry for winge, just feeling a bit sorry for myself today.

    Hope everyones well
