Ok, so I'm 99% sure that they are contractions. I've started my contraction timer. They are about 5 min apart and last just over a minute each. Approx. Does this sound about right?
I called the hospital and they said to take some paracetamol and take a bath and try to get some sleep! Don't think I'll get some sleep but have got my tens machine out just in case! DH isn't going to work tonight so at least I've got him.
Eeeek!0 -
How exciting Sammy, does sound right from what I have been told, haven't experienced myself though!0

With my first Sammy I'm sure they just said to go up to hospital when the contractions were that painful I felt I needed some pain relief ... you'll just 'know' when it's definitely happening and when you need to be going to delivery suite. It's hard to describe it, but you just know. How exciting!!!!Olympic Countdown Challenge #145 ~ DFW Nerd #389 ~ Debt Free Date: [STRIKE]December 2015[/STRIKE] September 2015

Hi Sammy if they're regular like that then it does sound like it!
Not so good for me, waters haven't gone, however cervix has shortened considerably so I am a 'work in progress'.
I feel happier now though, that something has happened. I hated Monday (attempted but failed sweep).0 -

Eeeek!
Exciting! must admit I am so jealous though.
Everyone always says contraction pain feels most like period pains I found them more like the pain when you have a very bad tummy and need to run for DiawooAKA: PC

Exciting, Sammy! Something must be happening if they are regular. I'd do what they say and try and have a sleep. Even if it's just lying down with eyes shut, at least you're resting. I think you're going to need all your energy soon
Welcome Benson. Hope bubs turns for you!
Alamaya, hope bubs starts going head down soon, too.
Sequeena, sounds like you had a busy day. It's a good thing they are keeping an eye on you, and fingers crossed that you don't have diabetes. Although if you do they will give you something to control it.
I haven't got anything else to say, except I feel a bit sick after my cocoa. Hmm. May go to bed soon. And do my exercises.
PELVIC FLOOR, LADIES!!!0 -
Eeeek, there are so many ladies about to drop and with things happening, I can't keep up. Good luck to all!
I'm after some advice really. What are your thoughts on antenatal classes? I think we get one NHS class and and another on breastfeeding (need to check that) but I'm wondering how many go to NCT classes. I just checked the courses near me and the price  It works out as £175 if I want to go to the evening ones. Do you think it's worth it for first time parents?0 -

I'm just going to the NHS Parentcraft classes. They start next month for me. I am not going to fork out that sort of money on NCT classes. I looked into it, and don't think it is worth it.
I think the Parentcraft ones will be useful, but think I know what to expect from reading books, researching on net and watching OBEM :rotfl:0
