Exciting times for Sammy and Waterbaby! Sounds like things are happening.
Coops - I have no idea about engagement , all confuses me! Mine isn't engaged at all yet.0 -
Sounds like it is all systems go Sammy
.. go get excited... Jog around the block.. a dozen rushes up and down stairs and vacuuming the entire house should work
I've just cleaned up the kitchen - will that help
In all serious though, I am a little concerned. Having had no experience, how am I supposed to know if the pains are actual contractions, or just practice ones? They aren't mega painful so I could be just having crampy type pains. So frustrating!!!!0 -

Hi can I join?
I'm 36 weeks and been to the midwife today who say baby is transverse, so off to hospital next week!!!
It's a big baby too so less room to move!
I need this baby to turn!!!!0 -
If they are rhythmic, and regular and they keep going, then they are prob real. If they come for a while and go for a while, its probably warm-up.
Don't be stressed, some people don't experience them as terribly painful, you may be one of the lucky ones.
Have a bath, stomp about, practise your breathing exercises before you need them. You can do it.Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -
Hi Benson - you are just ahead of me. Hope baby turns for you. Have you tried all the techniques to get it to turn like going on all fours etc?0

Holy cow, what a day!!
Just got back from labour ward. I thought I was leaking amniotic fluid again. Turns out I am leaking but not amniotic fluid. It's something else mixed with discharge. They noticed my cervix is slightly different. It's something to do with the cells, it's fine but it means I'm probs always going to bleed after sex because it's that bit more sensitive.
Thomas was going nuts with the doppler trying to kick it off
My urine got sent off as they think I've got a viral infection which explains the head cold.
They also think I have diabetes so I'm off for a GTT in May
I was late in leaving as they had to monitor my blood pressure which was a little low but I'm ok now. PHEW!
Labour vibes to those who needs them xxxxWife and mother :jGrocery budget

Good news it isn't amniotic fluid! Hope it doesn't turn out to be diabetes but at least if it is they can then control it.0

I am determined to keep the fluid in the normal range, if only Thomas would cooperate :rotfl:Wife and mother :jGrocery budget

ohhh you'll know!! i had contractions from 7am with DS1 - it felt like period pain on and off. by about 2pm they were stronger and regular and a bath didn't stop them. thats when i thought... hmmm better tell hubby to get home. about 6pm i had the need to take co-codimal as they really hurt lasted longer and were more frequent. 9pm they were stronger still, closer and really made me stop everytime i got one. midnight i couldn't get more then 2mins apart before next one and they REALLLLYYYY HURT!
(timings are approx - it was 2 and a half years ago).
hope that helps.Hi can I join?
