rolling the nipple between the fingers is meant to help.. but if it does come out then it isn't really an issue. You may find it rectifies as your boobs get larger anyway

He was too tiny.
Anyway, Im just hoping for a little bit of advice from all you big, fat ladies
Before I got pregnant last year, my nipples were both 'normal'. After my son was born I had severe mastitis in my right breast which got progressivly worse as I didn't have any midwife visits and went untreated for about 6 weeks.
Anyway, since then my right nipple has become really inverted. If i stimulate it, it comes out, but most of the time it is hiding!
Is this going to cause me any problems and is there anything i can do about it? Has anyone else experienced it?

My HV recommended these:
http://www.boots.com/en/Philips-Avent-Nipplette-Twin-Pack_2866/
"The Philips Avent Niplette quickly corrects inverted nipples and can be an effecive solution for both cosmetic purposes and normal breastfeeding.
To obtain the best and swiftest results the Niplette should ideally be worn as much as possible during the day and night and at the maximum suction comfortable for you. One Niplette is required for each inverted nipple.
It is possible to wear the device overnight provided you do not sleep on your front and it may be convenient to wear a loose fitting bra."0 -

I was at midwife today and she's keen to send me for a scan since babes isn't engaged and isn't showing much sign of heading in that direction. I did ask a question on here about it a few days ago but no one replied. :-(
Maybe no-one had anything intelligent to say, I only found out today that the head doesn't usually engage until labour for second and later births.
sammy is quiet...Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -

I saw the picture and just laughed! Ha, thanks anyway.
As pp says, I will see if it sorts its self as my boobs get bigger, but i will keep the nipplettes in my mind

there were a few replies about heads engaging actually.. inc mine.. not my head but my babies.
I had been in labour 15 hours with number 1 and the others engaged between 18 and 34 weeks... the baby didn't engage at all just jammed her shoulder on my pubic bone and her head in my left hip.. it was agonyLB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
(((Hugs))) Coops - sorry your post got missed
Mine is only 1/5 engaged at the last MW appt, so only 1 step up from 0! But that's good that they are sending you for your scan. Hopefully with your due date being tomorrow, you might go into labour before you need the scan.
So, I have a question. What exactly does a contraction feel like? I've not had any Braxton Hicks. A few min ago, I had this really tight, crampy feeling across my lower tummy. Almost like I needed the loo for a No. 2. So I went to the loo and didn't need to go. Opinions??0 -

Sounds promising. When you have full on contractions, you can see the top of your bump sort of lurching forwards, but sounds good. Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -
sounds good SGloves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:0
