Oh, and what's really annoying me at the moment is the "Oh, baby can't come on x,y,z day because if I'm doing/going somewhere". Yeah, ok love - I will plan my baby's arrival day around your plans. Gah!!!!
And don't get me started on Mothers Day. I've had way too many hints that I should be going to MILs for dinner on Mothers Day. Well, hello, but this is my first Mother's Day, and I actually might want to do something with my daughter and husband. And when I say this I get accused of being "adventurous"!!
Oh, don't I sound awful???!!!0 -
I don't know what rl stands for, but i can't be arsed to talk to anyoe except you guys on here. Struggled with my own parents for the last few weeks, and don't even get me started on mil. I don't want to talk about when i think the baby will come-i don't know. what i'm going to name him - its none of their business at the mo, what names they like- i don't care, its my baby.
It does make me feel guilty, but when i'm over 9 months pregnant, i think i'm allowed to be a cow.
I feel like this already - seems like the only topic of conversation for some people and I just want to shout "Hello - Im still here!" - dread to think how evil I will be by time I am full term!:happylove DD July 2011:happyloveAug 13 [STRIKE]£4235.19[/STRIKE] £2550.00 :cool:0 -

Waterbaby - That's a very precise time! What do you think they will do?
They are Just going to examine me. THey are fully booked up til then apparently,. but presumably would see me sooner if there were contractions etc.. There's no drama here so happy to wait.0 -

Depends how you feel about pressure to be induced?Sammy_Girl wrote: »And don't get me started on Mothers Day. I've had way too many hints that I should be going to MILs for dinner on Mothers Day. You don't sound awful at all and I am just the same. Are you breastfeeding? If so...you say
"I need to have everyone at home in peace to get breastfeeding established, and then and only then I will make plans to socialise".
If they accuse you of being adventurous say "ha ha ha how do you think I got in this condition in the first place" and put the 'phone down/shut the door.
eta feeling feistier than usual is a good sign!!Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -

I've had a few hints on Mothers Day too. My mum asked if I've made any plans for her? Errr no. I'll either be with a newborn, in labour, or to big to get off the couch. I've promised her a card but that's it.0 -

We are going away to Wales in 5 weeks, and mil is having a mental as we are going away and not to her house so that SHE can show off MY baby to HER friends.
Ummmm, whose baby is it......i have no intention of travelling down to her house in the forseeable future. She also chucks a mardy as neither us or her daughter who lives close by will let her stay overnight. My sil has a live in lodger...hence no space, and we have a 3 bed house, and 3 (almost 4) children...hence no space! She isn't capable of doing anything for herself, why doesn;t she book into a hotel?
She treats my oh like a child despite the fact that he will be 40 this year....arghhhh....i'm ranting.....sorry:o:)Henry James Born 18/03/2011-11 days late!:)

ooo lots of excitement !!!! Cant wait till home time, work is just boring, cant focus at the minute. Got the midwife 2moro,hopefully she will sort out my dodgy foot. Not been in able to put my full weight on it for about 3 weeks, no point going to my Dr as he would just say "have you contacted your midwife" and it did seem to get betterish then I nackered it walking to the funeral yesterday. Not swollen at all just muscle ache I think. Feel so protective over my OH and bump at the minute its really weird.I cant describe it, but just hate being away from OH for very long and seem to worry about him alot. Hormones , lol.I was wondering if second time mums could answer this question.
