MV he is gorgeous!! Not sure if you are still b/f ing but if you are that was the first thing I did when DD got her jabs, gave her a wee comfort feed....soon took the shock and pain away (not for you though I was still in tears LOL!).

Back from midwife so BP ok but more importantly bubs is finally head down :j just hope he/she decides to stay that way!! I have the consultant next week so she said if he wants to see me at 38 weeks I wont need to see her again until I have bubs!! Thought that was a bit odd as surely they wont leave me at 38 weeks without seeing anyone again???

Thanks for the tip teenie. Another friend recommended a bit of boob straight afterwards as comfort, so will definitely do that :)

    Afternoon everyone,

    Welcome Bella!

Glad baby Alfred is doing well.

Teenie - that is strange! I am supposed to have an appointment at 40 weeks and 41 if nothing has happened!

I was getting pains again last night while trying to sleep so didn't sleep as well again, that will teach me to think things were getting better haha.

I think my waters just broke! I went to the toilet and when I stood up, a bit more liquid came, not loads but enough to put new pants and trousers on. I am pretty sure it didn't come from my bladder, because there was no reflex to stop it. It doesn't smell like anything really. (It was pale yellow so I'm alright on that).

I've phoned OH and childcare friend, I guess I want to phone midwife now - all I can think is what should I do, brush my teeth, straighten my hair :rotfl:

    Nothing else happening though.

There is an exercise I have been doing. It helped the baby get off my Sciatica Nerve earlier on in my pregnancy. I am 37 weeks at the mo and it moves the baby away from my ribs, as the little bambino seems to be able to put his/hers legs right under them. If you get down on all fours and arch your back up and then back down. When you back arches up move your head down and move your head back up as you arch back down. I was doing these last night you only need to do it about 10 to 15 times. Hope it helps!! Here s a link to an image to help you.

Thanks GFH for posting your story. it sounds perfect. I couldnt ask for it to be a different way.
Im sure youve not hexed yourself and this one will be the same.
Thanks for the tip re G&A, I went through quite a lot with Dd but didnt have time with DS so ill mention if they could have plenty that would be great.
Im seeing the MW on Tue to discuss it all.

Sorry for getting you excited MV lol. Josh is just gorgeous, lovely bright eyes. Hope hes fine with his jabs, most babies dont even bother, as Teenie said its the mum whos more upset. Infact my OH took DD for hers as I couldnt face it. He felt terrible afterwards, so guilty.

Definently sounds like your waters have gone waterbaby. Is it still trickling? If youve let the hospital know id get all my last minute things done then sit down and have a cuppa or get on ball if you have one. Fingers crossed it will get moving quickly for you.

Ooh how exciting.. you and Sammy and duemarch in a popping race.. bet you didn't see that coming!

Ring the MW if you want.. she will tell you not to panic and to look out for pains and not much else..

Go get a shower and some food now.. your digestive system shuts down while in labour so you either spew it or 'other end' it and you will need the energy!

Rocking or 'hulahooping' the hips usually gets another dribble if it is the waters..
