We haven't spoken to my in-laws since summer 2009
Their choice, not ours. All because they are more bothered about their ex-DIL's feelings and opinions than their own son's
Consequently, since they chose her over him, they have missed out on our wedding, and our pregnancy, and will miss out on their newborn grandson. I don't want anything to do with them, or want them anywhere near me at the moment. Not sure how I will feel when little man comes along, or how hubby will feel for that matter. Guess we'll cross that bridge when we come to it.

loads last night, was convinced that would be it. Nothing since.and mil is having a mental as we are going away and not to her house so that SHE can show off MY baby to HER friends.
I think that's my main objection, the inlaws are always pestering for photos, but CBA to actually take any when we see them. It's like the children are just possessions to be displayed, rather than people to engage with.
SIL has never offered to put us up (only DH on his own) but it won't stop her inviting herself down when baby is born.
She has *ahem* another think coming :rotfl:Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -
Gorgeous piccie MV
Exciting stuff waterbaby and Sammy! :j
Good news that bubs is in position and ready to go GFH
I am away now for my shower before OH comes home and catches me in my jammies :rotfl: Just had my first real CBA day. Though I did do one lot of exercises and have cleaned the kitchen and the living room, so don't feel too bad!
Will do my 2nd lot after shower and 3rd before bed. Determined to keep up with them no matter how uncomfortable they are. They will help in long run.0 -
ooo lots of excitement !!!! Cant wait till home time, work is just boring, cant focus at the minute. Got the midwife 2moro,hopefully she will sort out my dodgy foot. Not been in able to put my full weight on it for about 3 weeks, no point going to my Dr as he would just say "have you contacted your midwife" and it did seem to get betterish then I nackered it walking to the funeral yesterday. Not swollen at all just muscle ache I think. Feel so protective over my OH and bump at the minute its really weird.I cant describe it, but just hate being away from OH for very long and seem to worry about him alot. Hormones , lol.I was wondering if second time mums could answer this question.
What is the one thing youve bought for baby thats been your best buy and you couldnt do without ?
lol @ Teenie
I am hoping to be a third time mum but for me it was a Tiny Love mobile that attached to the cot and plays classical music.
For some reason both of my 2 were mesmerised by the mobile itself and used to lie under it for a while without grizzling which would give me valuable getting make up on time or a quick shower
It is suitable for 0-5 months but even for that short time it was worth it for me.
Needless to say I have purchased the exact same mobile again in anticipation it has the same effect on the little lady0 -

Hi I know my LO is 16 weeks and I shouldn't be still lurking, but I may be back here within the year if all goes to plan!
Our bouncer was the item that we have got most use out of. LO didn't like to be in moses basket unless asleep, so sat in the bouncer from about 2 weeks old (and is sitting in it this very minute). We have this one:

I have to go to be checked out at 6.50. No more just yet. Sammy you sound just like me!Sammy_Girl wrote: »Oh, and what's really annoying me at the moment is the "Oh, baby can't come on x,y,z day because if I'm doing/going somewhere". Yeah, ok love - I will plan my baby's arrival day around your plans. Gah!!!!
And don't get me started on Mothers Day. I've had way too many hints that I should be going to MILs for dinner on Mothers Day. Well, hello, but this is my first Mother's Day, and I actually might want to do something with my daughter and husband. And when I say this I get accused of being "adventurous"!!
Oh, don't I sound awful???!!!
not awful at all. why do u think i live 200 miles away from my mum and my monster in law??
as for DH arranging anything i have more chance of the pope coming for tea. he even appears to have forgotton tis my birthday is 9 days time.

'lili' and 'trunk'. his 2 cuddley comforters (about £3 each from primark). he loves them and even now won't leave the house or sleep without one.
my update
been to mat hosp today and had a scan (yayyy) and a heart trace and they confirmed he's head down, still a boy.all his bits, heart etc as they should be and weighs approx 4lb 6oz.
they are gonna see me for monitoring twice a week with a scan every 2 weeks........and.........
.............. early induction at 38 weeks!!!!!! (sorry for queue jumping).
they sent off my urine (read dribble) as there was a few bits of protein present and took more bloods. then sent me home with a bag and what can only be discribed as a plastic petrol can 'just incase' they need a 24h sample.
sorry u may get one but if you think i am carrying it back to you full on the tram u can guess again!!!!loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:0 -

Sorry to butt in - I just saw that. My son was 4lb 6 at 36 weeksHe was too tiny.
Anyway, Im just hoping for a little bit of advice from all you big, fat ladies
Before I got pregnant last year, my nipples were both 'normal'. After my son was born I had severe mastitis in my right breast which got progressivly worse as I didn't have any midwife visits and went untreated for about 6 weeks.
Anyway, since then my right nipple has become really inverted. If i stimulate it, it comes out, but most of the time it is hiding!
Is this going to cause me any problems and is there anything i can do about it? Has anyone else experienced it?

Hey chicky
Was this a private scan or an NHS one? I think they ought to do another at 30 weeks on the NHS.... 20 weeks was ages ago. 4lb 6oz ey? That's a good weight! Good that he's head down. Hopefully my little tinker is still head down.
I am very envious you're getting an early inductionIs this because of the skin condition you have? I am going to ask for early induction due to SPD... Doubt they'll grant it though.

RWB - sorry to hear that, I am only 33+4 at the moment so he should be a good weight by 38 weeks!!!
digital - NHS (yay) -I think they should routinly scan at 30w too..... doubt they'll ever do that tho when they can monitor heartbeat much cheaper. very strange seeing him tho as he was veryyy large on the screen so it was like 'this is his leg', 'this is his face', saw all the bumps on his spine - couldn't see the whole lot and no pics for me just for the file
when i said "is he still a boy" the sonograher was like "yes, he most definatly is, I wasn't sure if you knew or not but I was gonna ask and tell you if you wanted to know."
apparently they are routine for this OC as they need to know where they are starting from with my assessments. Yup, early induction due to the OC and the continious monitoring. Fingers crossed they 'do you' early to (in the nicest possible way), I'm sure my sis-in-law got an early induction with hers.loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:0 -
Evening ladies,
Hope duemarch is getting cuddles now!!!
Good luck to waterbaby and sammy, sounds promising on both counts!!!
Jojo, vibes for you my dear.
I was at midwife today and she's keen to send me for a scan since babes isn't engaged and isn't showing much sign of heading in that direction. I did ask a question on here about it a few days ago but no one replied. :-(
Looks like my scan will be Monday now due to schedules and DH will be off that day so it'll be good for us to see the little one again. Just hope everythings okay....,,:jMini Coops arrived 2011:j0
