Have called labour suite, they said to give it half an hour make sure everything is still regular then call them back. They are busy tonight and someone is in the birthing pool, so i'm not going to get my water birth

I don't post much but quick update, 32 weeks, growth scan this week was good, baby back in "normal range" although at top end not off the scale like last time so maybe not too much of a chunk!!! insulin must be doing it's job! they estimate about 4lb 12oz at present

bp high and protein in urine so off to midwife this morning to get it all checked again and see where we go from there

I haven't done NCT (you had to sign up before you knew you were pregnant, the lists were so long) but I did meet some lovely people at NCT open house mornings. That said, I didn't pay £175 to do that...

I'm still here. Think I'm in for the long haul! Contractions started at 8pm last night, DH and I went to the hospital at 6am, and contractions were between 4 and 5 min apart. Got checked over and I'm a poxy 1.5cm dilated, and waters still intact, so they sent us home with a couple of paracetamol and codeine.

My tens is still going strong, but I think at this rate I'm going to wear the batteries out lol.

DH has just run me a bath so I'm going for a nice soak - hopefully.

Labour vibes to JoJo and Coops - i would be most grateful for some also!

Oh and congrats Dusty on your last day at work :j

I am shattered..... just taken DS1 to childminders and have decided i can no longer walk (fast) which is a problem as I don't do slow walking. I'm also in a foul mood with DH who is being completly selfish with helping me with DS1 which makes me walk faster and angrier. The pain was incredible!!! He's now jumping around trying to avoid the BH's. settled back in bed with tea and custard creams and I'm only planning on moving for the following:
- loo breaks
- bring up the box of baby clothes to list on selling site.
- bring up the box of paperwork for filing...... price comparisons.... swapping providers if necessary
- food
- fluids
- and i may just have to put the light on before i disapear into a black hole.

- and i guess i better go and pick DS1 up about 5.30pm!


re: antinatel classes (yup another who ment to reply last night and forgot).....

I only got offered a 1 day 'intensive' course with DS1 as my midwife didn't bother to tell me I had to register early for the hospital (weekly) ones until it was too late when she snapped at me for not having booked it. (any wonder I chose a different midwife this year?)
It was the BIGGEST waste of time imaginable!! we sat in groups for about half of it and discussed pain relief, what you want info about after birth etc then fed back to rest of the group and went thro everything in more detail.
I *think* we maybe went thro breathing technique but i was asleep by that point.
can't remember anything about b-feeding.

I do remember a fair few tea and ciggerette breaks - no one spoke to each other really and certainly didn't make any buddies from it. Personallly I'd just get a good book or read the NHS provided one (i have a copy from DS1 if anyone hasn't got one not sure if all areas provide them).

As it's Red Nose Day I thought I would wear a red top to work - haven't worn it for a few weeks as it's a non maternity top - I look like Jordan! Had to put a vest underneath as my b00bs seem to want to escape at every possible opportunity :rotfl:
