Where did you get the dri nite pads from Fantafan?

Oh dear sounds like a few of the pets are suffering a bit. Hope your cat is OK Madbird.

Morrisons. £4.17 for 7 so I've used 3 on the bed. 2 in a straight line on my side and one the opposite way in the middle. They're in the nappy section.

Does sound a bit like Pet Rescue on here today with guinea pigs, cats....any dogs not happy at the mo?
  • Hello ladies. Well I'm just back from the hospital :( Felt a massive decrease in movement over the past 2 days so DH decided to take me up to hospital early this afternoon to get checked. Good news is that bubs heartbeat is fantastic but they are wanting to send me for a scan to double check why I seem to get alot of decreased movements - really worried about it to be honest. Also dont know if any other ladies here have Group Strep B, well I have and firstly my MW had missed it off my notes and I only noticed when I was around 34 weeks and she filled it into my notes and nothing more was said about it. Well today at the hospital, the Triage MW asked me about my Strep B and asked if I had another swab done at 36 weeks? When I said no she was really concerned as I am now coming up to 39 weeks so should have had this weeks ago. So just a wee bit of advice for you ladies, please make sure that you check your notes for anything that the MW may have missed, as it led for a bit of worrying on our parts today when the MW advised of the things that can happen to bubs. Now DH is really angry and is phoning the MW surgery tomorrow. lol. I dont wanna be on the recieving end of that phone call.

Contragts to OTE -beautiful pics and lovely name. Hope everyone else is ok, labour vibes to all who need them. xxx

Erm...my boxer has a sore "wrinkle" on his face if that counts. He is currently sporting an Adam Ant style stripe (cream). :o:D

D'ya know, I am really angry for you Sharkey, the more I think about it the angrier I am :mad:

I seem to be hearing more and more stories akin to this, 2 last week just by talking to other new mums at DD's nursery! This country's maternity services are absolutley appalling!! Midwives are so overworked and short staffed it's nigh on impossible for them and even the basics are overlooked., severely threatening safety.

Keep saying that I am not bothered at all about giving birth, pain aspect etc, it's the "care" I worry about.

    Rant over...........sorry. :o

  • Thanks ladies for your anger!!!:) glad that I am not over reacting about it. Will be calling first thing tomorrow morning to put a complaint in as although I know the MW's are overworked etc, now I cant get the feeling out of my head that something more should have been done and that there may be potential danger to bubs now, which at just over a week to go is devastating. I know deep down that there was nothing more that I could have done, but I am still angry with myself, if that makes any sense.

Glad I got to hear the heartbeat again and hopefully I'll be able to get the scan, I can see her again and it will put my mind at rest. This is obviousley the worry that I am gonna have now for the rest of my life - dont think I will ever get over it.lol.

Don't be angry at yourself. To my knowledge the only time it's dangerous to your baby is during labour and delivery, they are now fully aware and will take every care needed.

When do you have the scan?:)
