OOh exciting! Is that the longest you have carried for, LP?
NO GFH DD1 I made it to 40+5 and thought i was ok. I was admitted to hospital 40+4 with pre E symptoms and was due to return 40+6 for induction but i went on my own the afternoon before. DD2 was 37+6 induction.

I really really didn't think when I was getting steroids for baby lungs at 29+6 I was making it this far.. I am so excited and happy and i'm thinking 72 hours or so I could have baby.
They are hoping with the on off pains i have been having that they can just break waters and giving 2 quick labours we hope to have a baby probably tuesday 8th. We suspect they will take bloods etc when i'm admitted, do the trace and BP profiles and a sweep just to stir things up then leave me until morning when they will get it all started.

Lauren I saw that earlier... heartbreaking :(

thanks everyone, it must of taken me so long to write that the forum moved.

Just a quick question, I don't have any nipple cream and wondered if there was something I could use that would be around the house, its only one but its sore and cracked. Thanks

I seem to recall Krystaltips saying that Vaseline is a good alternative to lanisoh when we had a crusty nips discussion previously :D

:Rant Alert:  SO again I am up at 6am (after OH kpt me up till midnight) with heartburn despite taking gastrocote before bed last night like a good girl. I am going to have to bring this up with consultant on Monday as this is getting silly. It is the only reason I am not sleeping. I am already sleeping in a position that has my head raised above my stomach, only drink water or very dilute barley squash and not eating anything acidic or with a high fat content. Grrrrr!

Anyway... Good Morning ladies hope you have had a better nights sleep than I :D

ETA - My day has just got even better with 2 bouts of diawoowoo! Yay! :(

It scares me when i hear things like this. I was a nervous wreck after Lily Allen and now Amanda and she was 2 weeks ahead of me.
Its never safe to relax is it. :(

    Morning Ladies

So so sad about the news about Amanda Holden, the poor woman.

Had a bad nights sleep last night, the wind here is terrible, and noisy! That coupled with needing to go for a wee every 2 hours is not a good combination!

Hope everyone is OK and labour vibes to those in need x x

    Morning all,

Congratulations OTE! Lovely to hear your news.

I went to Asda last night and picked up a moses basket with cover and mattress, got it checked at the till and it has gone down to £10.30!! Was very pleased with my bargain! It is quite neutral, so you can use it for a boy or girl. All we need now is a stand for it. It is our first proper purchase for the baby.

So sad thinking of Amanda Holden, what she must be going through.
