So sad about Amanda HoldenYou finally start to relax when you get in the third tri, but are then sent reminders that you can never really relax. How absolutely devastating
I am sad this morning as last night we notice one of our guinea pigs isn't well. Not sure what's up with him but he's not eating as normal and doesn't feel as warm as normal (he's a long haired). Poor little chap has a heart of gold. No vet will see him today, so will try and get an appointment tomorrow. Please send get well vibes for Max0 -
Selfish horrible vets. God Bless Max and help him to get well. Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0

Read the news about Amanda this morning. I guess she must be one of the unlucky 15% as it's 85% chance of survival at the stage. Poor poppet.
VB is having a girl and will probably sail through the pregnancy but she does have a few years on Amanda Holden.
If anybody is still after breast pumps/sterilisers, I got an Avent manual one in Morrisons on Friday for £5. The microwave steriliser was also £5 plus the Lindham flexi gate was £12 whereas it's £23 in Asda's baby event.
I'm procastinating today. Time to sort pressies I bought in the sale in to birthdays/christmas etc and a tidy of clothes. DH uses spare bed as a wardrobe as I refuse to put his clothes away and as BFF is coming next week, it's time for action!0 -

Where did you get the 85%/15% figure from? Everything I've read says it's less than 2% risk after 12 weeks. 15% loss rate at 7 months is horrific and so sadPoor Amanda.

I read that 95% of babies at 28 weeks would survive if born early. So is actually only 5% of babies born at 28 weeks that wouldn't survive.
Hope Max gets better soon! xx0 -
So sorry for Amanda Holden, they'd waited soo long to announce it as well for fear of it all happening again. Think it hits home more when you are at similar stages date wise.
April/ May girlies (sorry baby brain can't remember names) - I think it depends which way your bubs is laying now whether you feel em or not. If i have been on my feet a lot he's realllly quiet all day. If I'm sat or laid down he has a party. I *think* i can tell how he is laying tho depending on the intensity and area of the kicks, i.e. if he kicks me in **those bits**.... and yes if he's not kicked you there yet he will!! then he is facing my back as i have fewer kicks that day. If he knocks the wind out of my then he is facing front. The other day he was happily sideways on as i had an elbow (sure it was) sticking out of my stomache ALL day which was reallllllllyyy painful and just had fluttery kicks.
It is scarey if they don't kick at the moment but i'd say if you've curled up on the sofa for 2 or 3 hous with a cup of tea and not felt anything THEN seek advice. (at least thats in my view).loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:0
