Evening ladies!
Been away for the weekend which was nice, and I went shopping for Baby Spendalot .... had to go round in a wheelchair to do it, but it was ok. Got some cheapo nighties and PJs for those first few days from Primark and all my hospital bag essentials, and first clothes etc for the wriggler. Very tired now, but it was worth it.
Heartburn really not good - actually made me sick last night. Woke up at 1.30am and it was really bad, remembered gaviscon was in the car from our weekend away. Laid there for a few minutes really uncomfortable and then that was it. Felt fine after! Typical as it hadn't bothered me all weekend despite eating indian takeaway and KFC!Olympic Countdown Challenge #145 ~ DFW Nerd #389 ~ Debt Free Date: [STRIKE]December 2015[/STRIKE] September 2015

Just don't ask to weigh yourself in the hospital :rotfl:
I made that mistake and they watched my food intake like a hawk and asked my mum if I'd ever had an eating disorder :eek:
The MW said 'we don't do scales here, only chocolate'Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession:o

We have rented twice together before, and both times it has been the same as you describe. Normally you view a place, decide you like it, put in an application form, get approved, move in.
For some reason there are a hell of a lot of people looking to rent around our area (maybe due to the sky high house prices?!) more so than ever before, and whenever a suitable place comes up, it is a race to get in there first. And even when you do, the landlord then holds all the cards and can make you wait even longer.
With this application we have put down we are willing to pay 4 months+ rent up front (that's as well as the 2 month's rent deposit, plus one month's rent which is normal). So a lot of money up front. And yet he still wants to carry on viewings. However it may be that the letting agents haven't actually given them the applications yet, just spoken to him on the phone, and told him about all the interest and he has said to keep doing viewings. So we aren't rating our chances that high really, and have to continue looking.
I am so stressed out with all this, as is OH of course. Got a headache now as well. His parents have said we can move in with them though if need be, so at least we won't be homeless. Not exactly the ideal way to start family life is it0 -
Hello!
I'd like to introduce myself to all you lovely ladies on here. I'm 28yrs old and expecting my 2nd baby, due 8th July. I already have a 3.5yr old boy.
I'll be 23 weeks on Friday. Work have already messed up my SMP application (they processed it too early) so i'll have to re-submit it. I'll do that when i'm actually 25 weeks so they don't make that mistake again!
I've got a back problem (they queried a disc prolapse and i've had siatica and pain since May 2010, the pregnancy is quite difficult on this as the baby is really low this time and at the back so I feel a little pressure there).
I'm being sent to the VBAC clinic at 31 weeks (Vaginal Birth After Caesarean) despite me telling the lady i've tried to get in labour positions at home and I can't hold them without being in pain from my back and I would prefer to have a c-section again this time. My partner is planning on taking 4 weeks off when baby is here anyway and i'm sure my mother will be round with bells on to help me with my older son.
I know i'm having a boy, and i've already started stockpiling nappies, wipes etc. I have had loads of newborn and 0-3 months clothes given to me so I don't need to buy any. I'm borrowing a moses basket, changing table and travel cot off my friend so I don't have to buy them.
The only thing i'm struggling to get is the breast pump I so desperately want. It's the Tommee Tippee closer to nature manual breast pump. I absolutely refuse to pay full price as i've seen it so many times half price in the past, then when I get ney for it, bam, full price again lol. The best deal at the minute for it is at Boots, but i'd have to pre-order online and collect from the store because it's still full price in there (?).
Anyway, that's my little story and I hope to be posting on here regulary in the weeks ahead!
