I got the TT Manual pump 2 Asda baby events ago for £10 they are on every few months so worth waiting for. I got the micro steriliser for £10 too.
Sending labour vibes Due march:santa2::xmastree::santa2:0 -
Hello!
I'd like to introduce myself to all you lovely ladies on here. I'm 28yrs old and expecting my 2nd baby, due 8th July. I already have a 3.5yr old boy.
I'll be 23 weeks on Friday. Work have already messed up my SMP application (they processed it too early) so i'll have to re-submit it. I'll do that when i'm actually 25 weeks so they don't make that mistake again!
I've got a back problem (they queried a disc prolapse and i've had siatica and pain since May 2010, the pregnancy is quite difficult on this as the baby is really low this time and at the back so I feel a little pressure there).
I'm being sent to the VBAC clinic at 31 weeks (Vaginal Birth After Caesarean) despite me telling the lady i've tried to get in labour positions at home and I can't hold them without being in pain from my back and I would prefer to have a c-section again this time. My partner is planning on taking 4 weeks off when baby is here anyway and i'm sure my mother will be round with bells on to help me with my older son.
I know i'm having a boy, and i've already started stockpiling nappies, wipes etc. I have had loads of newborn and 0-3 months clothes given to me so I don't need to buy any. I'm borrowing a moses basket, changing table and travel cot off my friend so I don't have to buy them.
The only thing i'm struggling to get is the breast pump I so desperately want. It's the Tommee Tippee closer to nature manual breast pump. I absolutely refuse to pay full price as i've seen it so many times half price in the past, then when I get ney for it, bam, full price again lol. The best deal at the minute for it is at Boots, but i'd have to pre-order online and collect from the store because it's still full price in there (?).
Anyway, that's my little story and I hope to be posting on here regulary in the weeks ahead!
Kirstle99
Welcome!
I got the TT pump and the microwave steriliser in Asda Baby Event a few months back - £10 each. They should have another one in a few month's time0 -
Hi all! No idea if this will work.....but here goes....0
-
OK, it doesn't look like it worked from my computer... if anyone wants to offer any technical advice please do!0
-
Just don't ask to weigh yourself in the hospital :rotfl:
I made that mistake and they watched my food intake like a hawk and asked my mum if I'd ever had an eating disorder :eek:
The MW said 'we don't do scales here, only chocolate'
Don't worry I am several stone away from an eating disorder;)
SJP read your birth story and glad you are all safe, sorry you didn't get your home birth.
!!!!!! were the midwives doing getting you to push at 4 cm?:eek:Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -

Sorry I'm not very good at doing pics either. I thought you just copied and pasted from tinypic or flickr?
I end up uploading to my blog then just copying from there.:santa2::xmastree::santa2:0 -
Morning ladies
I keep forgetting I should be here now - by habit I am checking the less than 12 weeks thread instead!!:o
DM11 - sending you lots of labour vibes - don't suppose you fancy another long walk.........
Digi - good luck with the house - your renting story sounds as bad as buying a house!!
Loved OBEM last night - I rarely shed a tear (cold hearted woman am I!) but last night, the little biy saying hello to his baby brother just set me off blubbing - defo need to be having more than one now - how cute was that! And the poor lady with the 4 m/cs - so sad, but what a cutie she had!
Sent DH off to Babies'R'Us today - last time round we spotted the Jungle Chums nursery set which would go perfectly with our nursery - and it's being discontinued!! One near his work has the last remnants in stock, so he's been dispatched. I know it's early and not MSE to just buy it full price, but it's the only safari/jungle theme I've seen that I like.(And my free cot from my friend makes up for it too....
).
And it's Pancake Day today - love the pancakes.... Roll on hometime.........
xDxFear is temporary, regret is forever.....:happyhear Baby girl born 27th September - 10 days late!! :happyhear0 -
I forgot about pancakes. I'll make some for after school. Yum
Welcome over here Deb. It's seems quieter than it used to be. There were loads of births in Feb so not so many posts. And the earlier ladies seem to post on the 12-24 w thread more. It's easier to keep up with at the mo.
SJP just read your birth story too, thanks for posting.I would complain about those MW at your house. Can't beleive they had you pushing so early and shouting at you. I thought if was meant to be more relaxed? I love the name Immy lou such a lovely girly name.
I can't wait for the Easter hols to start on April 1st. The school runs are doing me in. I need to go in the morning, then take ds to nursery, then pick them up again. Plus DD has rainbows tonight. Last night I was having light period cramps. I'm trying to do less but it's hard with 2 wee ones to run after.:santa2::xmastree::santa2:0
