Paraniod first time mother question(s)

Im using the quinny carrycot as moses basket but the mattress looks really thin, will I need to buy another one for sleeping purposes?Its only for day time naps as bubs will be in cot in our room at night

We are going on holiday at christmas and the house has a cot in it and mattress, should I take another mattress with me ? Baby will be around 6 months old? Just slightly paranoid

I've put on 2 stone!!

Took a very long walk into town this morning to try to encourage the baby to move out. Had a lovely lunch with ds and dd2 (inset day) then walked back. Exhausted now, but still nothing. DD2 must be exhausted to as she has collapsed asleep on me and baby is kicking her in the head.

Had curry last wednesday, chilli on friday, curry again on saturday, a pineapple on sunday.....going to have to try to resort to dtd at this rate, i can't help but think dh is just not interested and with the size of me i can understand why.:(

Consultant tomorrow at the hospital so will probably have a sweep and if they are concerned about his size i may even get a scan. Bet my cervix isn't even close to being ready yet though.....feeling on a downer....sorry.

Need some birth announcements to cheer me up

mattresses in crib are only about 3cm thick anyway you can always put a folded blanket under the mattress if it is uncomfy

Anyone planning on watching OBEM tonight? - I can't remember what was coming up for this week?

Not sure who is on this week. Im planning on watching it. Was crying through the whole episode last week My aunty gave birth 5 years ago and my little cousin only lived for 3 mins(they knew she wouldnt live for long ) so it brought it all back.

It was really emotional Lablover wasn't it. So sad about your family's experience. I think the episode was put together really well and showed the right amount of sensitivity.

Welcome Debs, so good to see you!:j What a great scan pic too!

Hope the rest of you are doing ok. I've got hats but suddenly realised got no socks or bootie type thingys! Brother and SIL want to know what to get me as we've got all the major items. Would asking for sheets, fleece and cellular blankets be a good idea - I trust their judgement on those as they have 2 kids already and I've none so far. Thought also of a cheap bouncer chair as I know they aren't in them long and one of those playmat/gym things.

Jojo hope things get moving soon, I dread to think what I'll be like if I go over my due date. The way I'm feeling I'd be happy to go a few days or a week early.

Oh and the sun has been out all day today!!!:)

It was handled really well. My aunty still says that she had two babies and tells her wee boy all the time that he had a little sister and they have her photo on the wall next to baby pic of their son. The hospital were fantastic and they came home with a bag full of stuff (photots,baby foot prints , hand prints etc) and they were allowed to hold her after she had passed for as long as they wanted. Sorry to bring every down , its just one of those things. I hope we have some nice births tonight , not sore ones with screamers lol
