I hadnt really thought of some of the things I need until I read the list on the back of my MW notes. I started making a list and it soon mounted up. There loads I know I dont need so ill not bother. Ive got 2 bin bags of boys baby clothes but only a handful of neutral and no pink at all. Im waiting until bubs is born and I know my mum and MIL wont take no for an answer even if I say i dont need anything.

I now need to get together the things I need for a home birth. I want to be all organised just incase. I plan to get a big box and start putting the towels, plastic sheets etc in it. My bag is almost packed too. I want that sitting just incase and also so i can someone to get stuff and I know exactly where it all is.

I found my baby shawl I used for both Dd and DS yesterday. it brought a tear to my eye remember bringing them home. its being washed today all ready.

I love feeling 'ready' for the baby now, but also a little disappointed that shopping is almost over! :rotfl:

I think I only have to buy a raincover for my car seat now, and maybe a couple more blankets, oh and some muslins. Basically got everything I need now I think :D

  • Afternoon ladies! Hope everyone is doing well! i have none nothing all day! can't believe how tired I am today-reeaaalllyyyy not looking forward to going to work tonight :(
Been looking at moses basket mattresses on ebay-theres some really good prices on brand new ones on there, except I can't find the tape measure to see what size I need, so that will have to wait lol
I also need some little socks-both my other 2 were teeny babies (6lb 4oz and 6lb 13oz) with MASSIVE feet, so had trouble fitting them into a newborn babygrow, but 0-3 months swamped them, so have got a few without the feet on so they can wear socks, but having real trouble finding the smaller sizes-will have to have a look in mothercare next time i'm passing. Annoyingly I was in there yesterday, but ds 2 was just interested in looking at the cot mobiles and the toys, then moaning he needed a drink, so didn't look at the clothes at all lol
went to sainsburys to see if i could get some sleepsuits using the voucher from in the bounty pack, but they didn't have ANY in newborn size-or even 0-3 months, so will have to keep looking!!
Anyway, I suppose I had better get up and have a quick tidy up before going to pick up the kids!!!
Take care! and hopefully we will have some baby announcements soon!!! xx

Ok - first newbie question - what the hell are muslin cloths for??? :D

Congrats Debs :j:j:jthink this has been covered, but get white ones so you can wash 'em hot.
Speaking of hats - do they like you to have a hat for baby when in hospital? - or have I remembered that completely incorrectly and it was me with the hat fetish :D

They like you to have a hat.

lablover, we have a puppy kong, how do you stop up the open end?

but we only paid £6.50 for the basket and stand - woo hoo

Sadly I took all the covers off to wash them and now cannot figure out how to fit the hood back on :(

    Welcome Debs - great news.

congrats on scan firedrone and labour vibes and stop achy pain vibes to those that need them

My mum has already made a start on the 6-9mths, she got loads of sleepsuits etc and some booties :rotfl: She went a little bit mad in Matalan, but it is her first grandchild so she's allowed :D

I had a Tesco delivery earlier and the bloke asked me how long I had left. He looked slightly relieved when I said he's due in May :rotfl:
