Apricot have you thought about buying plain cream/mocha bedding and just buying the odd gingerbread thing. Ive bought plain bedding but bought millie and boris cot mobile, cot teddy and pram blanket , so when its all put together it looks like a matching set without the massive price tag? I got three muslin cloths from matalan for £1.50 they were reduced and were neautral colours. Do ikea maybe sell cheap ones? Im sure someones mentioned before ?
Thanks to MSE for making it possible for me save to buy my new flat , yay !!

    Hi Everyone,

Just a small update we had our 20 Week scan, all is well, baby healthy and of course definitely a boy! and confirmed EDD is 15 July which is good as being consistent all the time.

More good news, thanks to everyone's help on here, we managed to find a travel system we liked, in the end we're going for a Mothercare "trenton" (think thats the model) and worked out to £315 inc car seat mount. Joined their baby club and got an additional £20 off, so totalling £295.

Went to Science museum on Saturday and they got a new exhibit and has a model of roughly the size of the baby at 20 weeks, looked like you could fit him in your hands :D

Ive only bought a pack of 3 muslins as I got 1 free with SMA club and 1 free with a Fairy sample. Tesco have a pack of 6 white ones for £4 odd.

The thing im struggling to find is newborn white socks. A few baby grows Ive got are footless, plus it will be coming into nicer weather. I was trying to find white ones and cant. they are either coloured or too big. I wish the Huggies started pack had sock in them again instead of hats, I now have 7 hats !! I suppose thats one for each day of the week lol.

I got a pack of 3 white newborn socks for about £1.50 in Tesco. Got them a while back though. They are the cutest things :D

I am looking for muslins as well, but not bothered about patterned ones. They are only for mopping up spills and sick :rotfl: I will wait and see when Tesco have some more back in stock, as they seem a good price.

Speaking of hats - do they like you to have a hat for baby when in hospital? - or have I remembered that completely incorrectly and it was me with the hat fetish :D

My hospital insists on hats for baby as soon as they are born - my niece was wrapped in a towel and they plonked a hat on her.

That's probably what I'll end up doing tbh - I had a quick browse on Ebay and there is not a lot there and I wouldn't spend that much on bedding for myself never mind baby!

Firedrone great news on the scan!

I don't know if anyone has seen it, but if you like the Barnaby Buttons range from Mamas and Papas, they are doing some really big discounts at the moment http://www.mamasandpapas.com/range/barnaby-buttons/5551/?cm_re=Homepage-_-MarchOffers-_-BarnabyButtonInt

Nic - Matalan do some nice socks. I picked up a pack of 3 white newborn socks and a pack of 3 cream newborn socks and they were £1.50 a pack

Congrats on Team Blue Firedone :j

Just had a lovely walk with the dog - could have got away without a coat - it is so nice and sunny. Lablover - I have the same problem. As much as I like the sun, when it shines through the living room window it shows up the dog nose prints on the glass :o:D
