Ooh I love maxi dresses - I think Im going to be living in them this summer! I've got a few stretchy ones already but am going to look out for a few bargain ones as well!I have just realised I am going to be fat this summer, trying to get rid of baby weight am now quite jealous of those of you who'll have nice big bumps to show off!!
Unless of course I go with Dusty's birth plan that I will be a size 8/10 when I come out of hospital, and of course that baby will be well behaved for OH so I can go back to roller skating immediately:rotfl::rotfl:

Of course this is my plan toobaby will be born by end of July and I shall have my bikini body back [STRIKE](did I ever have one?) [/STRIKE] by the start of August!
Lablover Your thinking thing sounds really good, Im generally a positive person but sometimes like a good whinge but I think we all need to step back sometimes and look at all of the positives in our lives rather than reflecting on the negative things.:happylove DD July 2011:happyloveAug 13 [STRIKE]£4235.19[/STRIKE] £2550.00 :cool:0 -
Im loving my body right now , I wont when Im bigger but before I fell pregnant I went on a diet and it worked far too well I ended up a size 8 . I looked awful , I only done it to go on a girly holiday too boost my condfidence, I felt awful the whole holiday , wore shorts and vests most of the time as I couldnt face looking at myself in my bikini. So hopefully once baby is here I can get back to a size ten , dont ever want to be a proper skinny mini again, its not niceThanks to MSE for making it possible for me save to buy my new flat , yay !!

Hi all,
Thinking of you Spaghetti!
Re: clothes fro hospital I think I will be looking for some very loose light fabrics, as it will be end of July, so won't want to be sweltering. Got a lovely £6 bag from Primark on the weekend which will be my hospital bag, it's lovely a little Cath Kidston like with pink and grey small flowers I think but at a tenth of the price. Just need to gradually think of things so I don't leave it all to last minute!
I would love to have a jacuzzi or steam treat but too worried right now, woulld be interested to see of the risks reduce as the pregnancy goes on and is more established?
Apricot I had a bad nights sleep too - had a pillow on my left side for the first time, trying to get used to it. It helped, but so frustrating that being on front is a no, on back is a no, and now apparently even on side we are supposed to face left, and I always face right... grumble!
LabLover totally agree with your thinking - look at New Zealand and Libya right now, awful, and we're so lucky not to be anywhere like that.:):)

Sparkle, I used to sleep on my front (not able to do that for long without being kicked now), I asked someone (think it was the midwife) and she said as long as I was comfortable just to avoid sleeping on your back.
If you'd be more comfy on your front I don't think its a problem, I think its just as everything gets bigger you should try and sleep on your left side.0 -
Slept well last night but woke up feeling like I could go on sleeping. Time is also passing really fast and I have to get everything ready for work lol. Oh well, last day today before a week off so looking forward to that! No doubt it will pass quickly again though.
Was just about to write that baby is still being less active but it just kicked hehe. Its being more quiet but still hitting me every now and again. I have taken to talking to itespecially about the nasty woman with the pressy thing at the scan
lol.

Thanks for all the replies re steam room. Think I'll just stop using it then to be on the safe side. Ahh well it'll be warmer soon and I won't be needing to warm myself up all the time (here's hoping )Leo James arrived 7 days late on 26th August 2011 by emergency CS :j Such a cheeky chappy now :T0

Sparkle - I wore my PJs and dressing gown home from hospital. The plan had been to wear my maternity jeans and a maternity top, but my waters went everywhere, so I ended up with no clean jeans to go home in
In the end, I didn't actually care which neighbours saw me in my dressing gown, as they all knew I was due to pop, and I didn't really feel like putting on proper clothes anyway.

I've never heard this and I'm on no 3 now - I alternate between my left and right side - whenever it gets too painful on one side I turn to the other - does anyone know what the thinking is behind trying to sleep on your left side?
I'm not sure I've ever been able to sleep on my front since puberty when I grew boobs let alone with a bump so can only sleep on my side.
I will probably wear a loose fitting dress back from hospital and perhaps some high waisted leggings as anything low will kill my c section wound but to be honest previously when it came to it I wasn't too bothered what I was wearing - I can identify with going home in my pj's or nightie if I could get away with it, lol!
I am hoping that I will return to my former size 8 self quicker this time round and not be in my maternity jeans for too long after the birth but who knows - so far I have not blown up like a balloon ion this pregnancy but there's another 16 weeks for that to happen yet!
Re the online shopping I succumbed yesterday and ordered some really cute baby clothes from Pumpkin Patch online as they had another 20% off sale prices and free delivery so couldn't resist - how much will actually turn up though I'm not sure - will wait and see0 -
I think I'll be needing to treat myself to a new yummy mummy wardrobe post birth.
All my summer clothes are very old fashioned and work focused. As I won't be in work for another 12 months I think it's only right I treat myself to some lovely summer dresses and wedges - I can just picture myself now strolling through the streets of our village pushing the pram in my new outfits, everyone stopping me to coo ofver baby and telling me how well I look :rotfl:
How I'm going to afford all this on maternity pay or have any idea what size I'll be then I have no idea but I can dream...............0
