Dusty, just be aware, if you are planning to wear the same outfit in as you are out if hospital, you'll need to take into account possible waters breaking/leaking.

  • Hi All

Hope everyone is well, off to the midwife in an hour see what she has to say, same old same old no doubt, you are fine keep on going. had a very bad night's sleep last night after a curry that i had been really craving and really enjoyed but the no sleep ruined it!!! grrrr and then when i fell asleep on the sofa i knocked my mobile into my drink. apparantly they dont like swimming!!!

lets hope when baby is born ill be less clumsy again? wishful thinking i think.

    xx
  • Dear god, I never stopped to think about what I would wear coming out of hospital. Just bubs lol! :D Something else i'll have to have a think about. I can't stand joggers or trackie bottoms on me (tree trunk legs :( ). I've practically lived in stretch dresses throughout this pregnancy with a couple of pairs of maternity jeans (one pack I haven't even opened - ebay job me thinks!). Stretchy dress going to be no good for coming home in though. Hmmm... will have to have a think about this one!

Got a horrible cold today. Hubby away and feeling very sorry for myself. Roll on Sunday when hubby is back and I might actually be able to get some sleep!

Thanks jojo, never really thought of leakage pre birth :o.

My plan is to haev a bath in the early hours of labour then get changed into joggers etc after that, hopefully by then waters will have gushed or will be a trickle managed with a pad - all these plans - bet I'm rushed in half nekkid pushing in the car

What about a tunic/dress that sits above the knee and wear leggings underneath?I bought a lovely maxi dress for the summer out of Dorothy Perkins for £3 , couldnt believe it , its black with coral splashes over it , will look really nice with tan flip flops and my bump , lol. Will have loads of stuff to put on ebay once baby is born , at least that will give us some cash when we need it. Saw OH's old boss (my oh got paid off about 6 weeks ago) taking his kids to McDonalds in his huge range rover sport , stopped to say hi and I noticed the car was full of next and m+s foodcourt bags , was mad. I know that they didnt have money to keep my OH on and we are in a recession but it really peed me off that if this guy had taken a pay cut then they couldve afforded my OH's pathetic wage he was on. RANT OVER
Thanks to MSE for making it possible for me save to buy my new flat , yay !!

  • I might do that Lab thanks hun. Will probably swap the leggings option for opaque tights. Not really a fan of leggings either lol. I know, my hubby tells me all the time - i'm very weird! :D

What an idiot your ex OH's boss is. I'd have been mad too. In fact - a pregnancy induced rant would have gone his way. I have absolutely zero patience at the moment. People who I work with are suffering greatly! :D

Morning All! Terrible nights sleep here between toilet trips and the blooming cat running around the house at 3am in the morning! I could really do with another few hours in bed but ho hum - it's nearly the weekend I suppose!

Ooh I love maxi dresses - I think Im going to be living in them this summer! I've got a few stretchy ones already but am going to look out for a few bargain ones as well!

    Hope everyone is well x

  • Lol Charlie , when I feel a rant coming on I stroke my bump and it normaly calms me down. In order to reduce pregnancy rants ive taken a new "thinking" approach. Evryday this week I find a story in the news (depressing one ) and make myself feel thankful that it didnt happen to me. My OH thinks im nuts but its so doom and gloom at the minute , 3 local companys have had to close and the local bakers have put all their staff on part time work , its just awful. The property market is just dead and we desperatly need to sell our flat. BUT i will rise above it all , today Im thankful that baby is kicking away and I still have my job.
Thanks to MSE for making it possible for me save to buy my new flat , yay !!

Had a thought last night when I went to the gym for a swim. I know I'm not supposed to go in the jacuzzi because it heats your core body temp but can I go in the steam room. My skin has been so bad since becoming pg and I have been going in the steam room once a week for no more than about 8 mins. Does anyone know if I need to stop doing this?

    Hi Claire :)

I'm still going into the jacuzzi at the gym after my swim. Thankfully they have a cooler one which I use. Generally your body will tell you when your overheating. I find the steam room is too hot for me but in the end you have to trust your body.
