Well went to midwife appointment and mentioned about the baby movements quietening down so she sent met straigh to the hospital. Was monitored for a while, had a monitor on the babys heartbeat and on his movements. Everytime he moved and the machine made a noise the hospital widwife would say " did you feel that" and I'd answer er..no! Anyway, hes breech and also his back is to my back, and hes back in my pelvis so he's moving around , I'm just not feeling most of it due to the way he is positioned.

I meant to see if you know the flavour Ice? Sounds like a boy causing you grief already lol. Hopefully he'll turn by himself in the next few weeks.
Im off to bed. I've had to change my jammy top already as my bo obs are leaking like mad, I'm only 31 weeks tomorrow, god knows what they will be like in the next few weeks!
I had a quiet night with my OH, we watched Broke back mountain for the first time (sent randomly through Love film) it was very entertaining

Strep b not tested as standard as far as I'm aware. I was tested at 28wks but apparently it can develop at any stage in your pregnancy so even if you get the all clear at one stage it can develop later on. I guess if it was common then would be tested as standard?
Well done on starting mat leave sammy. Still 16 working days for me and they are ddddrrrrrraaaaaggggggiiiiinnnnnggggg
I will ask MW whether our NHS offers the tests, but if not I will order a pack and test at 36 weeks. Mum said that her cousin's wife had a baby stillborn, and they think that it may have been caused by strep b. They didn't have the testing or anything then. What does the ECM test involve?
There are two swabs - one for the entrance to the vagina and the other for the rectum. The private test packs contain straightforward instructions. The swabs should ideally be taken at 35-37 weeks of pregnancy – they can be done earlier but then they may not be as reliable in predicting GBS carriage at delivery. They may be done later, but then there’s an increasing chance that the baby will be born before the test result is available. The swabs are then sent direct to the laboratory (with payment) in the envelope provided as part of the GBS Test Pack.
Each laboratory undertakes to have the results available within three working days of receipt of the swabs and to send out the results on that day to the health professional, with if requested a copy to the pregnant woman. Because the swabs and the results are sent through the post, the test can be done anywhere in the UK.
Though even if you do test positive, it's not guaranteed your baby will be infected. It can be treated with intravenous antibiotics during labour.0 -
Random question but what are ladies taking to wear to go home in after hospital? I don't want to take anything that will be uncomfortable to wear.0

I'm taking in a loose pair of jeans that I only use an expander with and one of my maternity shirts so that I can go home comfy but will probably have my old faithful stretchy trousers in my bag too lolThe pod landed and produced baby Timothy on 10th March 20110
